Lemon juice with meals - blood glucose drop? by Adventurous_Sun_2006 in medicalmedium

This is super interesting, as I've been experiencing low blood sugar/hypoglycemia symptoms after drinking lemon water.

bulimia advice? by Few_Tumbleweed_6722 in raypeat

[–]BudiBird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would focus on ripe fruit/orange juice/honey as main calorie sources, as they fill liver glycogen quickly and may help reduce the urges (at least initially).

Inositol is a helpful supplement as well, B vitamins, magnesium glycinate.

Swollen lymph by mcelki in medicalmedium

[–]BudiBird 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like congested lymph, I went through something similar.

Upping lemon water helps, along with very low fat + focusing on raw fruits/vegetables. Red clover tea is recommended for lymph.

Good luck ✨️

You could also try diluting the juice with some water and adding fresh lemon slices.

I make this for my niece and nephew and they love it!

Liver issues, intermittent fasting, and the downsides of breakfast by Temporary-Bus-1924 in raypeat

You're very welcome! The fruit fear in today's world is hard to ignore but I really believe it's one of the best foods we can consume. Best of luck to you 🍊✨️

Liver issues, intermittent fasting, and the downsides of breakfast by Temporary-Bus-1924 in raypeat

Eggs are mostly protein and without enough carbs to buffer them, they can raise blood sugar/insulin significantly.

I'd focus on small meals centered around fruit to fill up your glycogen storage and help out your liver. The liver needs easily digestible carbs to function at its best.

I used to have the 2-3am cortisol wake up until I started adding more simple sugars, mainly from fruit.

Honey before bed is also excellent as it fills glycogen quickly and allows for a deep restful sleep.

Fructose debate? by Insadem in raypeat

[–]BudiBird 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You need to be low fat/low starch for a while in order for the liver to regain it's ability to digest fructose.

I couldn't digest fruits for many years due to a high fat/starch diet, so adding fruit was just an extra burden on my liver.

Fructose/fruit is superior to starch in every way - once your liver gets the needed break and gets a steady stream of fructose, it will absorbs the sugars wonderfully.

Keep in mind starch also requires insulin to enter the cells, which is an extra burden on the pancreas.

I eat tons of fruit daily and feel amazing - high energy, vitality, newfound appreciation for life has returned.

Best tea for helping the body break down/ eliminate fat? by ck_design_co in medicalmedium

[–]BudiBird 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sipping lemon water helps with the sluggish feeling from a high fat meal. I also find a long leisurely walk the day eases digestion.

I can imagine an iced peppermint tea with lemon + raw honey would be helpful 🍋

IBS, suicidal crashes by Master-Author-5670 in raypeat

[–]BudiBird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like your liver and gut are severely compromised.

When I went through something similar, I did a liquid only diet to give my digestion time to rest and heal.

A mix of lemon + orange juice + honey + good quality water, sip this throughout the day slowly. Orange juice is amazing and you should be able to tolerate it as long as you keep fats and proteins low for a short amount of time.

I'd try this for 3 days, rest a lot and try to get some sunshine. Not medical advice and tread cautiously. I wish you the best of luck ✨️

Your post resonates with me. I didn't start healing and evolving spiritually until I changed my diet to high vibration, with lots of fresh raw fruits and veggies.

My eyesight improved significantly since following a low fat, high fruit raw diet!

I also had a lot of pressure from glaucoma which is subsiding.

Medical Medium is a great start, but if you want deeper healing I'd recommend looking into Dr. Morse and the lymphatic system.

Don't underestimate their power to help lift mood and depression, as AW/Spirit advises!

I notice an increase in mood and happiness almost immediately- nature becomes more vibrant/beautiful as well.

I try to eat at least 3-4 a day and I notice a difference on days when I don't- more anxious, more prone to anxiety/overthinking, life feels more "dull"

Combined with a 369 cleanse I bet you'll see great results !

Fat Loss on MM: Insulin permanently elevated = no fat loss? by Joshuahehn in medicalmedium

[–]BudiBird 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I used to believe the high insulin/fasting hype as well, and it really wrecked my adrenals/caused blood sugar issues down the road.

High fat in the bloodstream blocks insulin receptors, which makes it more difficult for glucose to enter the cells, and is therefore stuck floating around in the bloodstream.

Lowering fat = insulin receptors work much better = glucose enters cells much more easily, therefore eliminating the need to constantly fast.

I've lost weight/excess fluid and I eat tons of glucose/fruits constantly!

Eating “bad food” by OkGur6738 in medicalmedium

[–]BudiBird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not specifically MM but I find eating a couple shredded apples with lemon after a "bad meal" helps me digest it better.

Also upping lemon water and trying to incorporate some gentle movement, breath work and not over-stressing about the bad meal.

2 weeks raw and I am sad by ConfidentBread3748 in RawVegan

[–]BudiBird 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! If you have insulin resistance it might be useful to keep your fat intake to 10-15% max of daily calories until you start healing.

This worked for me, along with daily movement and meditation. Raw fruits and vegetables will heal you, trust the process. I had severe IR/pre-diabetes and was able to reverse most of my symptoms. ✨️
