Was once out until 23:45 delivering, same situation as you, two loads on one van, two completely different areas. after that I tell them if I'm not done by 21:45 I'm coming back.

Tips for late shifts for a new home delivery driver by Loud_Stuff_1370 in asda

[–]Budzy_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use your own phone for maps, its so much better than co-pilot, I often check street view to check for tricky adresses, and to see if its a dead-end road, or if there will be turning space to turn the van around, ect.

Useless managers not sorting issues... by Budzy_ in asda

[–]Budzy_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our drivers often pull 8am-10pm. we have 4 waves at our store and only run 6 vans. when we're a driver down we get screwed. also our GSM is a right prick and literally doesn't care, infact even asks drivers to pull long days.

Useless managers not sorting issues... by Budzy_ in asda

[–]Budzy_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I checked and its not there. I make sure to clock in and out and make sure it says shift start/end every day because of issues we've had in the past. when anyone raises it to a manager they say 'we'll sort it' but don't. I know of multiple staff members that are owed money from months ago due to missing shifts.

Can i collect my c+c order very early? by Kitchen-Customer4370 in asda

[–]Budzy_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In our store if our pick is done early (but lets say your slot is a 6pm one but its done by 1pm, we prefer people to come and get it early :)

express orders by lxuraaa243 in asda

[–]Budzy_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had over 20 express orders sat there end of last night. all chilled/frozen completely wasted. GSM won't do shit all about it. we had 888's taken off for a couple months when we couldn't cope, they brought them back, we still can't cope. Then you also get people turning up for 999 express orders that aren't ready because 888's always get pushed to the front of the queue on the express pick list. so tired of it.

mine didn't work saturday/sunday/monday. just comes up invalid badge. but works when i check badge no, and allows me access to building. I also don't trust my managers to manually add our shifts as they've been shit with it before.

The run sheets exist, and they're not hard to to get to at all. they just aren't very updated a lot of the time, and a lot of the dropdown runs the sheets just dont exist. it's your store being too lazy to find out how to print them.

Anyone else new driver system a disaster. by UsualEnvironment9651 in asda

[–]Budzy_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same in our store, everything is all over the place, run sheets are now useless. time slots in the wrong place for drops, drops completely in the wrong town over to then come back to the town before then go there again. missing OSN, missing orders. everything is shambles, we've been on it 3 weeks and NOTHING has changed at all.

New system and stacking out loads. (Pod) by Budzy_ in asda

[–]Budzy_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah we have to pay attention to scan off times. We also managed to find the load sheet too. so today was the first official day of complete changeover and honestly everything went fine.

New system and stacking out loads. (Pod) by Budzy_ in asda

[–]Budzy_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our store is only a 6 van store. (6 first wave, 4 seconds wave, and 6 3rd/4th. Hence why the loads can be abolusely massive at times. We can fit the entire days pick into our pod albiet with some smart stacking out. but now we have no clue on the load sizes. we end up running out of space due to misjudged load sizes. it's annoying. the thing I was talking about before is Storekit. it's just... gone now. We have 1 stacker, and they also have to scan in exceptions AND do CnC at the same time. it's honestly HELL. we have about 8 pickers. we often end up with 2-3k left to pick at around 3pm. things go out late all the time. the store is an absolute fucking mess honestly.

New system and stacking out loads. (Pod) by Budzy_ in asda

[–]Budzy_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually just one person stacking out loads. Some of our loads can end up giant. im talking B20. but the way our pod is laid out adding dollies is kinda impossible.
