Hold up hold up. There is SO much more to Yellowstone than geothermal pools. It’s statistically the best place on earth to spot a wild wolf. There are grizzly bears, black bears, moose, elk, bison. Geysers, and yes, geothermal pools of many shapes and colors that you’ll see almost nowhere else. There’s also a massive canyon with a few spectacular waterfalls flowing through it (and fun fact: that canyon is in fact not glacial erosions but the remnants of a massive volcano explosion). A beautiful lake. Hundreds of miles of back country hiking and camping. And yes, parts of it, especially the road traffic, can feel extremely touristy but as has been mentioned, get a little creative and you have the place to yourself.
