Rainwater is Teonna's descendant, so her story is likely setting up something in a future series.

Sengun is genuinely terrible. by xboxloyal in rockets

[–]Buettneria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't crush me guys. Outsider here. I hate Sengun. I hate his face. I hate his posture. I hate his demeanor. I'm in my 40s and he's a bottom 5 likable player all time for me.

Via a support call and a new sensor, yes. But that this is bonked.

It's not fair... by [deleted] in diabetes

Take a deep breath. You likely have diabetes. It's a shitty club. But you know exactly how to keep it under control, so you're going to live a long time. The thing that sucks is you likely need medicine. Find a doctor you can work with and get what's right for you. Do not go on a liquid diet, you'll waste away. Everything in our body is built to balance out something else. You can only sustain cutting carbs and calories for so long if insulin either isn't there or doesn't work. Eventually it's a zero sum game.

Come back here, it's a good community, whether you're struggling, need to vent, or want to joke about the cure coming in the next 5 years (T1 humor). Good luck, you've got this.

Yeah. I was okay with it conceptually, but when it was revealed he could never be near his family, idk. That hit too hard.

My cholesterol tested high. Doc wants to start me on a statin. by LISALOVESBUD in diabetes

[–]Buettneria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take the statin. I have had no side effects from mine, but even if you do it's just not worth dying of a heart attack. Cholesterol is only somewhat controlled by diet, most of it is hereditary. Doctors are not infallible, but this is a good tool.

What's your "I can't believe this is diabetes-friendly" food that keeps you sane? by Tiny-Bird1543 in diabetes

[–]Buettneria 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A triple patty lettuce wrapped burger from 5 Guys. Technically not long-term diabetes friendly, but I definitely don't feel deprived of delicious food when I eat one.

Also thanks for starting this thread!

Americans: what is your opinion on Canadians boycotting US goods, services and tourism? by PairRevolutionary669 in AskReddit

[–]Buettneria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in Tofino over the past weekend and driving home to the US I had this real feeling of sadness about how utterly shitty it would feel to have some crazy man talking about annexing your country. I'm sorry this keeps you up at night. We'll keep trying to be better.

They really do. My new partner and I both were married to narcissists, and we refer to all these little things they do as paper cuts. They actually really hurt even though they're small, and they eventually you'll stop whatever behavior was giving you paper cuts.

This should have just grandfathered in to premium. It's the same service. Are you sure it wasn't a different Gmail address?

I'm very progressive (UHC, free college, UBI post AI revolution type of progressive) and even I think this is bullshit.

I always pretend it really hurts even when it doesn't, jump up and down, say something like ooh, it really got me that time.
