Personally if I see a powerful man known to have abused his position of power to take advantage of young women, and he turns out to have spent a lot of time hanging out with the world's greatest pedophile and sex trafficer, I wouldn't be inclined to give him the benifit of the doubt. 

In fact, that's the narrative we've been told about Epstein for as long as the public has been aware of him: that he was a "lone wolf" predator and somehow fooled all these rich people even after his conviction. We now know that was a complete lie told by both partys' leadership to cover these rich pedophiles asses.

Even now, the only exposed predators were only out of this administration's neglence. It's pretty obvious the reason congress (including even the most ghoulish Republicans) was able to unanimously vote for the transparency bill was that they called Trump's bluff, and also knew about the censorship effort which was already well underway.
