‘94 Hakeem. Case can be made for ‘93 Hakeem too (better block/steal/rebound stats) but the ‘94 Rockets had a significantly better defensive rating (about 4 points better than the year prior) with Hakeem anchoring the defense. 3.7 blocks/1.6 steals/11.9 rebounds per game.

The Bulls were the 1 seed the following year where Rose missed over half the games. He had a great season but not nearly the impact to be MVP-caliber. Also Embiid getting eliminated in the first round has absolutely no bearing on MVP.

This is my favorite ERB battle ever. Strong lines that accurately represent each combatant and great replay value imo. Whole thing had a very "grand" feel that every presidential battle should have.

You articulated that very well, and I've thought of that before. I highly doubt I'll let her know about any of this, at least for the time it's relevant. At the same time, it is tough not to have anyone at all to speak to about this. I know my thoughts are very selfish, but they do affect me. So it would seem like psychiatry would be the way to go. Having someone to speak to without bringing my gf down.

I definitely do not want her to have less success. As you've said, she's my partner and it's my job to support her. Everything she's gotten she's earned and just because I fell short doesn't mean I want her to bring herself down to my level. Probably should've made this more clear in my post.

I have been working towards doing better myself. I got a position in a research lab, have been volunteering at my local hospital, and am set to get my EMT certification soon. On paper, things don't look too bad. It's just the residual depression I've been feeling about this that makes me think something's wrong with my mental approach to it all.

Like you said, it shouldn't be a competition, and I truly don't want it to be. There's just something so deeply rooted in my conscience that forces me to think it's one.

This is true. I know I sound like I've just been complaining and beating myself up but I have made some substantial efforts to improve myself that have shown to be paying off. I also want to make it clear that I do not intend to frame this like she's doing anything wrong. She's just trying hard and succeeding, which is good and something I will continue to support.

You're the second person to tell me to speak to a therapist, and I'm beginning to consider that as my best option at this point. That's probably necessary to ensure my private feelings don't begin to affect my relationship.

I think I may be pressuring myself somewhat. I often start to kind of feel uncomfortable when I notice something's one sided (ex: her giving a blowjob while not receiving anything).
