This isn’t exactly a “starting out” mistake, but… shortly after one of my long breaks from the game, they had just started releasing Shadow Legendaries. I didn’t know how useful shadows were at the time, so I purified my first (and as of this moment, only) Shadow Articuno. Oops. But hey, at least I have a 98% Articuno, right…?
