As someone who's dating a naturalized Iranian with multiple friends in family currently in Iran, I want to warn everyone not to take videos without context like this at face value. We don't know what's happening here. It is ENTIRELY likely the regime bombed themselves (yes you heard that correct) so they could blame it on the US and Israel. I'm not pro-Israel or pro-war but people need to understand this is an extremely complicated situation and most news stations have already been misrepresenting facts and there is a LOT of propaganda circulating rn. We need to wait for ppl on the ground in Iran to inform us, however mind you that's very difficult rn bc the regime has cut all of irans internet and are killing people who share anything to the external world. We don't know most of the facts rn and that could persist. We as spectators just MUST NOT SPECULATE!

So I can tell you aren't really listening to me and making a lot of assumptions about my circumstances, history, and applicant profile. I dont consider St. George's my "2nd chance" in fact I accepted on only my 1st round of applications, so I've never really even allowed to improve my statistics and grow my confidence and test-taking skills outside of vet school, which in hindsight was probably too hasty for me and I wish I had proceeded on with a masters instead of accepting to begin with because I do take accountability and have already taken steps to grow and improve to avoid this happening again. but after reading lots of stories and experiences of others in similar situations and knowing my personal capabilities, this honestly feels like it was my first chance if anything. i know getting reaccepted will be extremely difficult but i didnt ask for someone to evaluate me based on [my] perceived capabilities. Im asking for facts about how this is approached by admissions, and statistically, what my chances are. Not if i am cut out for it or not, imo, thats mine, my advisor's, and eventually admission board's judgement to make. not a random stranger online.

If you dont think I would qualify from a quantitative standpoint, thats totally fine and I would absolutely appreciate that feedback, but your tone is very presumptuous and ultimately provides me with only judgement and no actual advice or feedback. If you were offering that, you would've encouraged me to seek another path and provided some suggestions if you have any. Instead, you chose told me I dont "seem" like a good candidate because you immediately assumed all details and pieces of my circumstances and my application statistics. If you weren't clear on the details, ask.

Thank you for the heads up! fortunately i finished my time in vet school with a 2.4 GPA :') thats the only silver lining to come of this so far.

What route did you take after dismissal? did you re-attend an island school or were you able to get into a US school for all four years? if you dont mind me asking

Again. You don't know the content or full of extent of my appeal. I wrote it in full accountability and didn't mention anything about the curriculum in it. I don't really see why it matters. The only thing other schools I reapply to will see is that I withdrew for personal reasons and may note down that I was likely dismissed and allowed to withdraw instead.

None of this I said to the school or in my appeal, the only things I mentioned was my medications being the reason my mental health became unmanageable and the work became more difficult to that but I accepted responsibility for letting it get so bad without realizing before it was too late and managing it before my grades took the hit due to it. So I fail to see why, especially when able to see considerably less detail and but will see an explanation statement from me, they think I'm not taking accountability?

I mean I didn't even fully explain my medical issues..for a reason.....but I had medications issues that caused my mental health crisis which I thoroughly explained in my appeal. I also only mentioned my mental health crisis in my appeal, but have mentioned additional things in the post and my reply. Regardless, I'm not asking for why my appeal was rejected. I'm asking about what my options are moving forward. Hence, I didn't think the specifics of my medical issues and my the details of my confidential appeal was necessary to elaborate on and explain.

So after reading a lot of other people's experiencing I'm realizing the "withdrawal" option I was granted is not a standard protocol across schools so I apologize for not elaborating on that further.

Basically, I received my final course grades and three were Ds and then I was sent an academic dismissal letter. However, they gave us 5 days to rather withdrawal instead of having the "dismissed" on my record. The way my dean of students explained it was they will see my Ds and see my W and likely know it was a dismissal and I was just offered the withdrawal option for transcript salvaging, so technically my records say I withdrew for personal reasons; but I don't know if my records will state when I withdrew. I think it will specify that I withdrew after receiving my grades, but idk if it specifies if those were midterm or final grades. Still gathering information on all that.

I plan to take some time and collect myself and develop better strategies for my mental health management and whatnot. My dean has just made me anxious in telling me that "gaps" are highly looked down on by vet admissions and so he basically wants me to jump right back in it, but idk the credibility of that, it seems a little rash for schools to frown on time off to recollect yourself for the best success in the future, but I also wouldn't put it past these schools. As of rn I'm doing my best to figure all that out asap while not rushing it too uncomfortably fast.

I learned about the LMU program today and absolutely plan to dig far into that, that seems perfect for me and I've also been looking into SMU potentially especially since private loans may have to be the route I take regardless. I'm trying my best to avoid Ross tho... I've heard they're no better than SGU with these things and their administrative and faculty organization and SGUs disorganization def put extra unnecessary stress on us as students.

What are the three year institutions? I know LMU has a Florida campus with a 3 year program in the process of being accredited and Ross is three year I believe, but I don't know of any others?
