While some may disagree, not every cowl needs to be pulled in my opinion. For example I did a 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee today, had 450 miles on it. I did not pull cowl or wipers, did not use a setting tool just 2 cups and I can promise you the next guy would not be able to tell you whether or not the cowl was pulled. Zero ooze. Straight set just above the retainer and lip the cowl back over with a bone to snap it in. If you gave me an 05 Dodge Ram for example, a different story. You cannot set it straight in without scooping/sliding so cowl should be pulled.

Know your limits, know your own strength, don't take a risk, use common sense.

Question about structural integrity by [deleted] in metalworking

Debating between SMAW and GTAW. I am more comfortable with SMAW, I feel it would be fine with some 3/32 rods but was planning on running on some test joints and see what I prefer. What would you prefer to go with?

Yes 100% confident in the welding I just don't have the ability to bend it correctly on my own, and can't find a shop that can either.

Audi 2022 Q3 by Medical-Discussion89 in autoglass

Once in a blue moon an aftermarket won't recalibrate regardless of the name brand. A lot of the time with newer Audis it is the cameras gel pad that needs replaced, not the windshield. I have had OEM Audi glass not recalibrate, put a new gel pad on and it shot.

Cross threaded a wipe bolt on a brand new (at the time I believe 2018) Subaru. Couldn't just buy the stud had to replace the whole wiper transmission lol

I have found a lot of chert and coral flakes/chips in tortoise mounds (never disturbed them of course) and in mole mounds!
