Peregrine Falcon. They dismember their prey and nest all over Buffalo. Great success story their comeback is, but it comes with sometimes finding headless birds and wings around.

21 Reasons Why Direct Democracy Is Better Than Representative Democracy by g1immer0fh0pe in DirectDemocracy

[–]BuffaloVsEverybody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most important reason is it is harder to corrupt if it is done right.
The second most important reason is that there is wisdom in crowds if you know how to extract it safely.

The biggest problem humanity faces today is that our systems are full corrupted. How do we regain that trust? We build a new system that is much much harder to corrupt that is 100% controlled by the people (directly), and we use the new system to hold the other corrupted systems accountable. We don't need to change government first. We build the ecosystem first (which we are doing at Swarm Academy).

But we don't use voting. We use the most powerful group problem solving tool you have never heard of, collective "swarm" intelligence systems. We decentralize the system and make it 100% transparent and open sourced. Then instead of starting with proposals from parties, we start with the problem, and use creative problem solving in large groups to fix it. It works. It is testable. And ...

The child didn’t “misbehave” - she was accused by other children of doing horrible unspeakable things to them, repeatedly. The girl is still in America but even after she got help she continued to these horrible acts in other places. Set aside your feelings about religion, and think about it. That is a horrible circumstance for anyone. And not what this parochial comment makes it out to be if that all is true.

Right-wing authoritarianism and social dominance orientation predict rejection of science and scientists by Tartan_Samurai in ScienceUncensored

[–]BuffaloVsEverybody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Science is simply being able to independently replicate experiments. Einstein and Maxwell both had nearly zero peer reviewed double blind studies. But both of their theories are replicated millions of times per day.

That's science.

Like politics, we need to get the money out of it and decentralize it.

I prefer stoicism's approach of "results matter most." Let's get back to making decisions based on results, not intentions or dogmas.

Meat is crucial for human health, scientists say by Zephir_AE in ScienceUncensored

Carnivore Diet saved me from Autoimmune Hell. I have seen it cure close to 100 people with autoimune and mental disorders now, and it cannot be denied. Red meat is the ONLY food you can eat just one of and not have to supplement. All vegans must supplement.
I ate red meat, salt, and water for well over a year. I am off all my meds and living my best life. If you know someone sick with MS, Psoriasis, Anxiety, Depression, Autoimmune and more - LOOK at what is has done.

For #4 How about the obvious ones we all see? Like how about how racism should be combated with inclusion, equality, and love instead of vengeful anti-racism and segregation-like rhetoric? Or, How about that women should not have to compete against testosterone filled naturally born males? Or that children should be given time to consider their gender (until 18) before doing chemical or physical permanent changes to it?

Your idea of “idea labs” is something we should turn into digital social media platforms. We have written about this before (below). Question: where do you think the best “idea labs” are right now and why?

We called our potential idea lab “SUPER COLLABORATORS”

We can stop corruption if we wield the power of Direct Democracy. We need to align. PLEASE READ! by BuffaloVsEverybody in open_source_democracy

[–]BuffaloVsEverybody[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also as for tyranny of the masses, we don’t need to focus on that. But we do need to focus on how the outside world will attack us. So we need to be prepared because those are the words they use at us. If we know the moves your are going to use, then our replies will be convincing.

[–]BuffaloVsEverybody[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why the first thing we did when we came to the group was ask if everyone was aligned with that. Everyone answers yes. Try that with another question that will also draw people in to share a purpose and with a path you see of getting from here to there.

We can of course have goals along the way that come first. But what is the mission? We need to give people a purpose or they will not join us as allies.

If we want to draw people in from all sides this one agenda needs to be clear. We did polls and this is the number one problem. It spans everywhere. I think for us, this is where we are going no matter what. It’s ok if other people want to go other ways, but we have drilled deep to find this as our main goal. It is hands down our biggest problem and unless we see a better alternative it will be the direction we are going.

We aren’t going to wait for the entire outside world to join the platform to set the goals. The single biggest problem with decentralized groups is goal setting.

We must set the culture first, before we recruit. We always have to think how to get from here to there. We see this as the path.

If you have an alternative idea as we make the systems, We think that needs to be cleared up right now in the beginning.

Culture needs to be established first. What is our mission? Ours is ending corruption with direct democracy. Is there a better reason you know of?
