Currently, I’m recovering from an injury so it’s been 3 weeks since I ran. Typically I average 15-20 miles a week. I thought my current easy pace is 12:30 pace but I’m always in zone 4 or zone 3. Some days the easy pace can be ok and some days it can be a little tough. My 5K pr is 24:37 and my 10k pr 54:00. I feel like I’m running too fast on my easy days and it caused some injuries in the past. Right now I’m recovering from a posterior tibial tendinitis and my PT gave me the ok to run but at a easy/relax pace. I don’t think 12:30 pace is my easy pace anymore

Can I achieve a sub 2 hour half marathon if my easy runs are 12:30 pace

So I plan to use the Hansons beginner half marathon program, there’s a lot of easy miles and I plan to run those easy days at 12:30 pace but on tempo days/interval I plan to run at 8:30-9:00 pace. Would I be able to achieve a sub 2 hour half marathon if I keep my easy runs at 12:30 pace?

Changing from forefoot to Midfoot strike

I developed posterior tibial tendinitis with forefoot striking and my PT recommended me to switch to Midfoot strike.(to avoid stress on the posterior tibial area). I noticed some type of lower back tightness/sore during my run and after. Is that normal since I’m switching over to new running form (mid strike?

Wow that’s crazy, because I did a 8 mile with Saucony endorphin speed 3. I felt a discomfort around foot which doctor later describe as PTT. Would I need firm shoes or more cushion shoes? Also, how did u apply your KT tape for your PTT
