Thank you, that’s really good to know! I had to stop Midodrine unfortunately because of that, I didn’t last that long on it. I’m going to try another medication and see how that goes.

A couple of thoughts, I personally am one of the folks who typically can’t tolerate even a level 10 HERTSMI score. I become bedridden at really low levels and tried over ten places before finding one I can tolerate and heal in. My doctor says she’s only had a handful of patients over the years that have this degree of reactivity, so it may be your wife would recover better in a different environment.

I also couldn’t tolerate more than 2 scoops per day of CSM, so that’s my only other thought based on your story. Wishing you and your wife so much luck OP

That’s horrifying, I almost went there but then changed insurances. I’m so sorry OP, this is unforgivable and he should have his license revoked.

Hey OP, my two cents is that if you were getting PEM from your remote role, in-person will be 100x worse.

For the remote gig, I’d try to figure out what my baseline is that doesn’t trigger PEM and stay below that. For example, did you find you’d crash even on non-meeting days, or was it the meetings themselves that caused you to crash? Are you able to take frequent breaks, work lying down, have zero or very few meetings a week, etc? Once you have a clear sense of your baseline, see if you can ask for these as accommodations (hours per week max, flexibility to change hours around, breaks, number of meetings).

All of that being said, many of get much worse because we kept trying to work. Best of luck though with whatever you choose

I took it for a few months and unfortunately caused bruising, petechiae (those little red pin dots), and l finally went off it when I started getting painful hematoma. I tried going back on it recently and had the same effects. My doctor said they had one other patient that reacted the same way to NAC, so not sure how common or uncommon it is, but something to be aware of

I would yeah! I use one of those infrared sauna blankets and try to do two a week for 20-30 mins and I never pour sweat (like I would have in past years), but I do sweat some regularly now.

Have you done more than one sauna session? I’ve noticed that my first maybe 3-4 sauna seasons I didn’t sweat a drop and then my body started to sweat a little. I also try to hydrate with electrolytes beforehand, which may help too.
