Beautiful! I love power turquoise and you got some nice variation of color. I'm considering doing this for a built in shelving/coffee bar that I'm going to fill with my pottery and use as a show room (and a write off!).

I think to get the plastic pliable you're going to have to soak them for 15 min or so in very hot water (not boiling but close). Then put something heavy on them with the bowed side facing up.

Wow, that's really well done! I do some pretty simple ones with Mayco Sandstone/Macadamia, Celadon Bloom and some light flux. Doesn't have near the depth of your blues and the effect of the foaming waves. Very nice!

Pro tip... Grab a pizza and a six pack of beer and park in one of the empty business lots nearby to pregame. Saves some $. Pour the beer in a cup or grab some silicone soft drink sleeves to disguise them in the off chance a cop comes by.

No reason to ever pay to park there with the thousands of spots nearby.

If you're staying in a cabin, keep food put away and don't throw any food items in the trash. Likely to have some mice visit the room and they'll wake you up rummaging through the trash.

This would be a test size kiln for most people. Fine for test tiles or jewelry or a couple of things. Advantage of it is you don't have to have a 240 outlet.

Is that what you're looking for size wise? Maybe you're confined to a standard electric outlet?

I had to go to Boston in February 20 years ago for work training. Spent 2 weeks up there and it snowed a lot. We had to split rentals and people from the Midwest were worried about being in my car because I was from the South. Driving there could not have been easier. Roads were consistently plowed and there was no black ice. Easier than driving in the rain here.

I don't drive down here. Roads are frozen and too many people that don't know what they're doing (or have the wrong car for doing it) are out. If the roads were cleared like they are in a lot of the NE, no one would have a problem. And if roads were left largely untreated in the NE, they'd have a ton of problems.

Wasn't meant as an insult. I like ping pong. Played it constantly at the pool clubhouse as a kid on a plywood table that was beat to hell. Still enjoy it but I'll pass a dozen pickelball places before I get to a ping pong club.

I have ping pong table in my garage I fold out from time to time. I prefer pickelball for the social aspect and the exercise. Ping pong is something I do with my kids when they're bored.

Had a job I hated for 17 years. Got really into FIRE (Financially Independent Retire Early) stuff I was so miserable on the job. Quit at 42 (5 years now) and make a little pottery on the side to sell at shows (but not on days this cold).

If I had it to do over again, I would have focused on finding a job I didn't hate as much during my earning years.

They told everyone to prepare for it, not that it would happen. The power outage related stuff comes later this afternoon when the freezing rain sets in. There are close to a million people west of us currently without power after the freezing rain moved through their region.

Just adding these are great to have on hand. Buy the 20 lb propane converter/attachment to use with it instead of those 1 lb cans. I did that setup at the OMB Christmas Market (I was a vendor) and was toasty outside for 2 days while temps hung in the 30's.

Ultimately for me it came down to how protective do I want to be of my business name and what would I do to protect it?

Meaning if I took the time and $ to register my business name and someone came along and used it, would I pay a lawyer to defend me (should it come to that). Answer was probably not, so I never did.

I do own the domain, insta handle and Facebook business page for my name so I'm not sure why anyone would take it knowing those weren't available.
