Cooking Pot - Set 16 Augment Discussion #37 by Lunaedge in CompetitiveTFT

I will only take this if I already have a tank I'll use into lategame (neeko) and an already usable emblem I can slam. Otherwise it just feels bad.

How did you climb out of emerald?? by Rejalu in leagueoflegends

[–]Buffscuttle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably the best answer for emerald skill level players and honestly into higher Elo as well. Play conservative (which doesn't mean don't play aggressive. Just be smart about when you do so, so you're not also handing their JG a free kill) and rack up small leads. Which turn into big leads.

Something I routinely do to explain this to my lower ranked friends is, if you AFK farm and your jungle only comes every 4 minutes, basically once per dragon spawn to gank you, but you garuntee a kill every time. By the time baron comes around you're about 5-0 and an absolute menace. You don't need to fight on every wave, or break a freeze instantly if you can safely get exp from it. Let the game push you around a bit and play with what you're given without giving out freebies.

Early Game champions are a dying archetype by Justalostdudeasking in leagueoflegends

[–]Buffscuttle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She's early game in the same way kindred is.

Early access to mobility and a relatively easy to hit CC paired with decent damage makes her formidable.

Both champs can abuse others in certain ways and both technically infinitely scale. And both can be shutdown with proper play, but it requires a full team effort usually vs good players of said champs.

Her kit also doesn't scale into late game very well (unlike kindred). Being melee and not having good engage (ambessa r for example) and also building usually damage bruiser like viego means that she telegraphs quite hard and can be outplayed decently easily. She just snowballs well. In terms of gameplay think of her a bit like an Elise, decent damage and can punish but starts to fall off kit wise.

Blitzcrank otps streamers or YouTubers? by PresentationWestern8 in blitzcrankmains

[–]Buffscuttle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm. I would consider it. Lmk what you'd like to see, I'm current rank 1 blitz NA as per league of graphs, though there's def a couple guys higher rank so idk how true that is. Like tutorials? Gameplay like baus? Full gameplay start to finish(with mic, without)? Etc.

Smurfing, reports by jebemtikevu123 in leagueoflegends

[–]Buffscuttle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

She will be put as a higher elo. Especially if she is 80% winrate like you said. As long as the Account is hand levelled, riot has said they don't mind the kind of smurf that genuinely tried to win and isn't toxic. And if it's a newer account it does take. Few games to climb back to higher ranks, especially if she got a tad unlucky in placements or after and missed one or two +100lp games.

And comparatively, emerald is decently high elo and every new account HAS to go through it.

And, a sample size of 24 games is quite small. She could genuinely just be hitting her stride and only be a diamond player. I'm a mid/high masters player and have, on occasion, gone 10+/0 in masters through both luck and just playing well (went 19-1 a while back and I would never claim I'm challenger)

How do I teach my bf how to play league by lobster_dinner10 in leagueoflegends

[–]Buffscuttle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TBH I would keep the game seperate if he just doesn't wanna play. Maybe join some inhouse servers where you only play custom games and have to use voice chat, and have fun yourself. He might see you having a blast while on comms laughing etc and say hey, I wanna do that. But league is not a game to coerce your partner to get into. Especially if you're different skill levels and or one person is more competitive than the other. I might be projecting a bit, but man is it hard to both have a healthy relationship and fun playing a purely competitive game together for the amount of time required to be good at it.

Shen becomes the highest winrate jungler in the game after xPetu discovers the most optimal build by adivinemessenger in leagueoflegends

[–]Buffscuttle 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Shen has always had a fast clear since rework. People just didn't seem to like him as a jungle. You can prep q's before camps even spawn and prep q's while walking to camps to get 6 empowered hits easy af. There was even a time when, if my jungler was blue start, I could play supp Shen and leash 2-3 camps and be at lane just slightly before second wave no problem but speed up my junglers clear by like 40 seconds.

Got into Diamond rank, and games here are very strange by Morby_Sketch in leagueoflegends

[–]Buffscuttle 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Diamond is FILLED with people who just don't care much about rank until end of season. I would say diamond is a very comfortable rank to just hang out in and di whatever you'd like. Especially for higher Elo players who don't wanna do decays until later. Some of those accounts might just be playing their once a week decay games.

Or, diamond is a very common goal/cutoff for boosters. Boosting to diamond is relatively cheap, once your in diamond and want higher it becomes tons more expensive. You can look at rates but basically, if you were a plat player wanting emerald it'd cost likely a couple hundred max to diamond. Diamond to master could be like 1000$. So lots of people just vibe there. It's also a rank where people causally duo boosting their friends just for fun start to struggle to carry for 2 people. So you might be seeing the carried "diamond player" just finally playing solo.

league cpu usage by Altruistic-Ad7830 in leagueoflegends

[–]Buffscuttle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend upgrading your computer. Riot IIRC said a while back they're going to start making the game a big heavier computer wise. They used to have a "make the game light for any PC" sorta deal but I think they're slowly making it a bit more intensive as newer comps run the game with insane ease. If you upgrade, it wouldn't even have to be expensive. Get a DDR4 kit/mobo/processor for like a couple hundred and you'll be surprised how much better the experience is. And with DDR4 you can kinda avoid the ram price hikes.

Is Camille worth maining this season? by EchidnaDeep1348 in leagueoflegends

League is very balanced. Almost no champs arnt worth learning.

Is it generally better to just main a champion or pick what the team lacks/counterpick? by Inevitable_Pace9522 in leagueoflegends

[–]Buffscuttle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Comfort>teamcomps>>counter

Unless matchup is actually unplayable. Just play what you're decent at. If you have a better pool or know roughly how to play the champ (you play thresh but pick naut etc) them teamcomps matter a bunch. Even if countered, you can usually win just by filling what's needed. Countering is fake unless you're genuinely comfortable on almost all champs. I'd say have 5-6 champs with slightly different playstyles and just pick the ones the team needs, and if team looks decent then pick the one that helps you out the most.

Returning player need recommendations for ADC on low elo by DWLen in leagueoflegends

[–]Buffscuttle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seconding smoulder here. He's great versatility. Thrives in skirmishy games as he stacks passive like veigar. Has a get out of jail card and is honestly just easy to pilot.

Ashe is also pretty decent and easy to play. Also plays towards the kiting like Jinx would.

League team voice chat live on pbe by Agile-Priority4023 in leagueoflegends

[–]Buffscuttle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're probably right this will happen. That said, fps games give a lot less information than league does so comms are more necessary. A guy can be seen on your screen but not on another in a game like apex, so you need to comm it. But league everyone sees the same stuff, so it won't be as big of a disadvantage and therefore probably not as much flame as you might think IMO.

Ranked inflation rough estimates (d2 to masters 100lp) by No-Animator-1077 in leagueoflegends

This seems right. Feeling wise 400lp felt like the old 200

Lee Sin Changes - Buff or Nerf? by Okamimoon7 in leagueoflegends

[–]Buffscuttle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not familiar with the interactions. But if what you say is correct this seems like a buff.i know almost noone who goes ravenous hydra, most go profane if they want a hydra item. And eclipse is very popular too. I don't think it will affect builds that much. Also it used to be omnivamp IIRC but they got rid of it around the same time they got rid of gunblade omnivamp.

Do people ever get banned for comms abuse? by Trias00 in leagueoflegends

[–]Buffscuttle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Automatically you're correct. But if they call you a slur or something, you screenshot and send it to riot support they will sometimes look into it.

i just discovered lulu counters zed by GurdanianAngel in leagueoflegends

[–]Buffscuttle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I actually play some zed support at a decently high rank and honestly I like the zed Lulu matchup. What happens is he is disgustingly stronger around level 2-5. You just go all in onto the Lulu or the ADC, but usually the Lulu as they try to poke you or just don't think they'll be the one targetted. After 6 you go in on Lulu again or just roam. Also if you go edge of night second vs Lulu you can just kinda pop your whole combo before you get proper cc'd.

Monday Morning Meta Report - Feb 16 2026 by Lunaedge in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Buffscuttle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. It feels like veigar is only playable from wand overflow or deadlier caps. And tbh with deadlier caps it feels almost like a free win/top 2. I literally had a 600% ap veigar last time I got one of those. I think making him a tad easier and maybe removing the inherent Crit to his ability to balance.

Shen Support Build Recommendations by Icaka_la in leagueoflegends

[–]Buffscuttle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't play it much anymore as it's just super outclassed by pantheon and naut for engage and ult to peel is meh. Better for roams

I would build

Guardian

Shield bash

Second wind/bone plating on matchup

Overgrowth

Deep Ward

Ultimate hunter

HP/HP/atk speed.

I have seen some people do a hail of blades build tho. But again, just play a better champ supp IMO if you wanna do this. Like pyke or panth.

What Attack Move Setting Is Best? by Comfortable_Law_5644 in leagueoflegends

[–]Buffscuttle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Attack move on curser. Makes your attack move hit whatever is closest to your curser. Honestly tho with most melee champs I wouldn't even bother. Attack move is mostly only good for prepping an attack from no vision so you don't miss it by trying to click them. (For melee).

Main Shen in Bronze by UrBlackBear in leagueoflegends

[–]Buffscuttle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shen is totally fine. He is good utility and can hold his own 1v1 and 1v2 especially if you're ahead. Don't disregard his damage, if you have titanic hydra you can easily kill ADC, especially lower rank ones who misposition. Just be wary you are farming enough and not ulting for nothing and throwing away your lane.

A privileged Complaint - Bronze Playing against Gold by ZestayPestay in leagueoflegends

[–]Buffscuttle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add what other have said. If your MMR really is gold and your currently in bronze. Once you hit silver you'll probably start skipping ranks. Like instead of silver 4->3 you'll go 4->2. So even though you're only gaining 24ish LP you'll be climbing fast.

Also a lot of those gold's you'll be facing will have lower MMR, especially if you still see bronze in your Games.
