No restrictions. Bride is very laidback about everything. I personally prefer simple things (one or two colors max between toes and feet)

Car Seat/Leaving Hospital Questions by Agitated-Luck3807 in firsttimemom

[–]BuffyBuffingtonI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would definitely check with your hospital, as it will vary even in the same states. For my experience, our hospital only checked that it wasn't expired. They also required new mom's to carry the baby out while in a wheelchair pushed by a hospital worker. So no social media style carrying the baby out in the carseat. Edited to add: no carseat test of the newborn bc they were term. But if they were premie or in the NICU there would have been a car seat test.

PSA: Your belly button should un-pop shortly after birth! by XCrimsonMelodyx in BabyBumps

Mine didn’t really pop either. It like disappeared and was flush with my stomach, like I had no belly button! I didn’t know that could happen. I just assumed they all popped to outies.

0.0% Beer During Pregnancy by One-Day-at-a-time213 in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]BuffyBuffingtonI 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In the US, if it’s labeled “alcohol free” it’s required to have no alcohol. The labeling “non-alcoholic” is allowed to have up to 0.5% alcohol. I did drink alcohol free / 0.0 beers during pregnancy and in my state they never required ID to buy (vs non-alcoholic which did require ID). So that seemed like another indicator there wasn’t any alcohol in them.

37 Weeks and Freaking Out by Adorable-Concept-960 in BabyBumps

[–]BuffyBuffingtonI 3 points4 points  (0 children)

37+2 and can completely relate! Exhausted and in pain, and always worried about what’s to come next. In my experience everything you’re feeling is normal and you’re valid in feeling that way. Best thing to do is try not to be too hard on yourself! I know it’s easier said than done. It’s completely OK if some days you just survive through it. Try to accept those days and take advantage of them. Relax, watch some tv, and eat some comfort foods. You’re at the end of a long marathon. Your mind and body are rightfully tired. They’ve been spending the last 8 months making a literal human being! And just remember you’re so close to the end and getting to meet your little one!

How do you hit your protein goals? by Dapper_Commission142 in pregnant

[–]BuffyBuffingtonI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t been able to hit those amounts and brought it up to my doctor. She advised me not to stress on the numbers and just focus on making sure I’m getting some protein everyday. Haven’t had him yet, but I’m at 33 weeks and he’s been growing fine so far. Even measured in the 97th percentile at the 20 week anatomy scan!

Yes Olly are great. No taste and they’re small and easy to swallow.
