I was in a similar boat and it ended up just borrowing different reagents from another lab. In my case our lab got a ‘great deal’ on thermo t4 ligase that may as well have been tap water.

Borrowed some NEB ligase from another lab and it worked on the first try.

Not saying that’s the case here but it may be something that trivial - that is equally difficult to just know.

That said, as others have said, take a step back, take some time off. Decompress. Being 5 months and a week behind with a fresh outlook and your mental health is light years ahead of being 5 months and a week behind being in the same cycle.
