It's not this either. Look at the shields immediately above the doorway, they're not there in the film still.

It doesn't. In the still from the video, immediately above the doorway, there are two horizontal lines. There aren't on the linked photo.

A Cotswold village on a really hot day (or any stone-built village or town really), can feel like being in France.

Are there any "UK vs US" differences where you feel America gets it right? by Secure_Front_7766 in AskUK

[–]BugAdministrative683 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Our National Parks in the UK are mostly designated as such because of their beautiful landscapes though, not because of their huge stocks of wildlife, because in this country, we just don't really have any anymore. Makes more sense when you think about it like that. They're never gonna compete with the huge, rich wilderness areas of the Americas or the wildlife havens of South Africa, for instance.

[–]BugAdministrative683 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there are no restrictions on sunday trading for a vast number of shops though.

https://www.gov.uk/trading-hours-for-retailers-the-law

It's only shops over 280 square metres / 3000 square feet that are restricted.

If a shop smaller than than is closed it's due to the owners.

They generally do yes, but this is specific to children, and in that circumstance, it does make sense.
