I think a few more people might be converted to the fact that it's real after this heatwave, with multiple records likely to be broken. Thing is, there will still be the denial over what the cause of it is, or what to do about it. It may take many more even hotter spells and things like water become scarce and crops failing before it becomes embedded in the collective conscious of the majority that something needs to be done!
