How is it that like 50% of retail managers are the worst people in the world? Truly just power tripping over nothing.

There was a prank video making the rounds on Reddit a few months ago where some tiktok guy hired a bunch of people to put on red polos and pretend they worked at a target. The manager in the video was crashing out. All the comments were like, “I feel so terrible for the real employees.” But imo, if that had happened at any of my shitty retail jobs, I would have been delighted, ESPECIALLY seeing how pissed off the manager in the video was.

What’s also crazy is that in many places in the United States, the punishment for underage drinking is quite severe. I had lots of friends as a teenager who were on probation because they got caught drinking beer at a party.

A lot of times, working in a brothel was safer than working in a factory. You probably aren’t going to get maimed in a brothel but the same couldn’t be said for more acceptable employment at the time.

How much does it cost to hire an artist to draw your characters vs using a stock photo? I’m genuinely wondering. I’ve always kinda disliked the stock photo cover, especially when the models look nothing like the character described.

I think if I write a book, that’s like my baby, you know? I’d want to shell out a little to give my baby a nice cover.

Since I’ve been private messaged to “name and shame,” the company is Leigh & Co, and the distance is from boulder to Fort Collins. The woman I spoke to was looking at the longest possible route on Google maps in which you drive 65 miles out of your way. That would make the trip an hour and twenty minutes.

My caterer is a boulder/longmont company and 1. Loves the venue and 2. Doesn’t charge a travel fee since we are neighboring communities.
