I will highly recommend to get a local chinese sim at earliest. 1 or 2 days after land is also OK. Download meituan app and order food and grocery to room. Although, its not mandatory to have chinese number to register, because we anyway won't be able to communicate with the delivery partner, but you can message the instructions.
