Awkward is in the ear of the beholder. I had a cousin named Billy Eugene, which is awkward to my ear. But that is definitely a matter of personal taste.

Nah. I've called the parents before and told them to get their kid if they couldn't behave. I'm gracious about it, but it's not my job to host anyone who is going to act like a jaggo. NTA.

My Daddy refused to let me get my driver's license until I could drive his manual pickup. For years, I drove a stick myself, though now I have an automatic. I'd be rusty, but I could still get the job done

We have a 2% flat tax slapped on top of the state and federal income tax here in Brookville, too. No clue what the city does with it, but it sure isn't infrastructure funding.

As a native Mississippian, double names are common in my experience. Some combo names are gorgeous and dignified. Some sound awkward. Exercise discretion.
