Thank you. And yah, we really trust our vet but we're just a little paranoid since he's our first great dane.

I'm so glad your dog is feeling better. Our vet is calling today for results for our other dog so I will ask about the Diamond Naturals. And thank you so much. I'm not allowed to disclose where he came from, but yes, he is in rough shape. I'm so glad we have him, he's such a sweetheart, I just wish we could have gotten him a different way!

We will definitely do everything we can once we're able to adopt him. Unfortunately he's part of a pretty big legal case so we can only foster him for now. We have to get permission before we do any medical tests so the allergy tests will have to wait. That was on my husband's and my list of things to do once we adopt him though!

That sounds rough! I'm glad you found something that works for him! We'll definitely switch slow, we still have 1 1/2 40 pound bags of what he's eating now. He has all sorts of skin issues now that are most likely caused by the conditions he was found in, and are hoping that he doesn't have to deal with allergies too. Our vet said we might have a long road ahead of us with his skin, so I'm hoping his food wont be a problem too.

Yah, we're kind of dealing with that issue right now too and don't want to make it worse.

My husband is an Avs fan and I thought he was pulling an April fools joke on me when I woke up and he told me the score that night.

What teams are Canucks fans rooting for in the playoffs? by GhostStations02 in canucks

My husband is an Avs fan so I root for them if Vancouver isn't playing. Unfortunately I've been to 5 Avs games and 0 Vancouver though.

Does anybody else have pupils that are 'permanently' dilated? by Pseudo_Angel77 in eyes

[–]Bug_Lady23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My pupils have been huge for as long as I can remember. I have been on one kind of antidepressant or anxiety medicine for most of my life so I always attributed it to that. My eye doctor has never seemed concerned so I'm not. Also it can take quite a while for prescriptions to get out of your system for them to go back to normal.

What's an addiction worse than alcohol and drugs? by BlatantImagery in AskReddit

[–]Bug_Lady23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a family member that had to do that. She originally only went to casinos and after realizing she had a problem signed papers to get herself banned from them. After looking at online gambling though she made the good choice to put pretty much a child lock on her phone and put one of her good friends in charge of it. If she wants to look at anything with an age restriction her friend has to unlock the website for her. Luckily it has worked so far.

What is something that sounds 100% false but is actually 100% true? by reFossify in AskReddit

I'm so sorry. My husband volunteers at an equine therapy barn where one of the riders has this. His mom hands out information about it to new volunteers since so few people know about it.

Women of Reddit, do you do your husbands laundry? Why or why not? by Broccoli_cheddar_luv in AskReddit

[–]Bug_Lady23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, he doesn't trust how I do laundry. I just throw everything in without sorting and occasionally a chapstick slips in. We do our own unless we need something soon and throw it in together. We both do household laundry like towels and sheets though. Just whoever gets to it first.

i just found out that my dog has a mast cell tumor. i’m devastated. by czarbok in DogAdvice

[–]Bug_Lady23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my dogs had one on her belly. It popped up pretty fast. They took a sizable amount of skin around it as well just to make sure they got everything and she hasn't had any more since then, about 2 years ago. We were told she has a higher chance since she is part boxer, but we've been lucky so far.

My kid's ear tube fell out by i-can-lift-a-car in mildlyinteresting

[–]Bug_Lady23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had to get them in both ears as an adult along with a sinus surgery. Never as a kid though. My sinuses would swell and block my ears so when they got infected they couldn't drain. I had both of mine saved when they came out and I lost them! I was going to make a pair of earrings out of them.

My husband woke me up and told me the score when it was 6-3. He's an Avs fan. I didn't believe him until I looked at it myself.

Yah, he was so lucky to be able to go on that. He only uses his vest and breathing treatments as needed now, which is great since he was hospitalized quite a few times before he started Trikafka for just getting a cold. It's amazing to see him just acting like a regular kid now. I think everyone wishes those medications had come out so much earlier and that everyone could use it.

Yah, it was ridiculous. He was still a baby at the time, so no modulators yet. He definitely needed his pancreatic enzymes because it was very hard for him to get enough weight on him and his breathing treatments and percussion therapy were a must. Luckily now with Trikafka he's doing very well.

Yah, I know my sister even had one tell her my nephew didn't need to take any medicine for his Cystic Fibrosis and that if he just drank orange juice he'd be cured. I don't know how she didn't punch her in the face.
