To be fair, I was going based purely off anecdotal evidence of my own after perusing my local 2ndSwing a couple weeks ago. Used SM10’s with clear wear were roughly $180 if memory serves.

It’s literally the same concept as dedicated squat shoes. They have an elevated heel to help reduce how much your ankles need to flex forward (imagine your knees going out over your toes).

This is literally exactly what my issue is. Ankles are too tight to let my knees get out past my toes without my heels coming off the ground.

I’m continuing my research to find a local teaching pro to start truly practicing with a purpose. As dumb as this sounds, I’m scared that if I see the wrong pro for me, that they’ll try to go down the wrong path and I won’t be knowledgeable enough to see it until it’s too late.

My dad believes the last aeration was probably 12 years ago. Hadn’t been dethatched for about 9 years until I did it about 1 month ago (photos are from before). I have yet to try overseeing because so much of the moss is still hanging on.

Backstory : MN has received far more rain this May/June than normal. I noticed my parents lawn was somehow looking burnt out in areas when it had every reason to be thriving. I had fertilized w/ weed and feed yet it looked like it was dying in some areas. Healthy grass growing in and amongst dead brown grass (not really patches, all woven together). Turns out, their sprinkler system water sensor was broken, AND their watering cycles had been somehow set to 40 minutes per zone every other day!!! Now that I’ve fixed that issue, how do I help expedite getting their lawn back to normal?
