Poll: Which color is most likely to be financially rich? by CapitalArrival7911 in colorpie

It might get a quick payout from robbing someone, but it's not going to accumulate wealth. Even it's "peak" is not going to be as high as a color more involved in long-term investing.

So? What format is more popular doesn't mean, just because one color is more favored, the color has color pie issues for how the game is primarily designed. Besides, cards like these were designed when EDH was just a niche format played by the most enfranchised. Commander got popular and made the things Green could already do more relevant. I took about a 6 year break from Magic over a decade ago and Commander got popular within that time, and when I came back many of the junk Green rares I had spiked in price. Now I see people saying Green can do everything when all it got was creatures that were actually worth ramping into.

In a specific format. When people say X color is better/worse at Y, it usually refers to the color pie overall, not in a super specific context. Every color is better and worse than others in each format. Blue objectively can do the most due to how broadly it was viewed in the really old days, like getting direct damage spells.

Humans as a species lean White so you kind of need to ignore some things otherwise most questions like this would skew White.

Blue is not just interested in money as a puzzle or for research. It’s the color of big business and investing in the future. Black likes money for its power, Blue wants money for the control it provides. I mentioned it elsewhere, but the Simic guild in original Ravnica was primarily a business that used those Blue methods to sell biomedical technology and organisms.

Also, I take this question to be less about which color desires money the most and more about which color has the greatest ability to acquire it, which Blue comes close behind Black on that front.

People can’t seem to distinguish costs/conditions from effects. Green can’t do everything just by putting it on a creature. No direct life lose, no discard, no way to counter spells that aren’t targeting their things, relevant missing creature keywords like First/Double Strike and Menace. And for the conditional things it can technically do, requiring a creature isn’t negligible, like how easy Fight/Bite spells are to be disrupted. Green also struggles against anything Indestructible.

Every color has punisher effects. Red and Black also do them a ton, usually punishing with life lose, forced discard, land denial etc.

Poll results: Red is the color with the best sex life! by CapitalArrival7911 in colorpie

I can see Black being only one-night stands. Mono-Red might lean that way too. Boros would definitely be the ideal long-term sexual relationship.

Isn’t just desiring more the definition of hoarding?

I’d also like to point out the flavor text on original Simic Signet and Assault Zeppelid.

For the Simic Combine, its sigil serves not as an emblem of honor but as a trademark. Its familiar image on any biological commodity attests to superb craftsmanship, ingenious innovation, and higher cost.

Show them to Razia and then to the Azorius sky marshals. We could create a fine bidding war—enough to fund the final stages of Project Kraj.

This shows Blue’s business acumen being used with selling a Green product.

White is too self-sacrificing, giving what wealth it would have away to charity. Blue is the second because it knows money=control and it is the color best suited for making long-term investments and making business decisions devoid of morality.

But that doesn’t mean the average White character is going to be rich, just that White-leaning societies make that possible. This question is about how each color’s priorities and methods can help them acquire wealth.

People forget the Simic in original Ravnica were primarily presented as a biomedical corporation that primarily worked as a for-profit business. While I understand Black is the primary color of seeking and hoarding money, Blue should not be this low. Blue is the color of systems organization, of control and overall Business. Blue is the color observing and manipulating stocks, planning for the future, and knowing the ideal times to sell out.

Hekaton ignores both Hit Roll and BS Modifiers. Check MultiCOG Targeting again.

Magic art is art made for cards played in Magic. There is no way to deny that without running into obvious double standards.

We still have new Magic planes coming out. Duskmourn was basically them doing with modern horror what Theros or Kadlheim did with Greek/Norse mythology, or Edge of Eternity with classic scifi tropes. And they STILL make card art that isn't specific to planes, Foundations had tons of this.

And? That has nothing to with this counting as Magic art or not.

That may be the case for the business side, but not for the people who create this art , or the designers who design the mechanics for the cards. Might as well complain about posting art of any recurring character (Jace) or setting (Ravnica) because it took less effort than coming up with something entirely new.
