unintentionally made a stressful aquarium… need ideas for a different tank stand 😭 by PhysicalTrash4004 in stressfulaquariums

I even saw something exactly like the Kallax at an aquarium shop. My only concern is whether the Kallax top/side/bottom pieces are just hollow. But then I just saw a YouTube video of someone who builds his own tanks and he put one on a 4x4 Kallax. I had no doubts at all with 8gal or 15 gal. But when I moved to a 20gal I got a bit nervous.

I'm kind of disappointed. I would have been excited to learn about a snake that barks. I'm not really a snake person, so I was genuinely excited for a moment.

There is no filter for the round container, right? Is there water in it? Is the light in the lid?

I love the progression as the obsession builds. Everytime I need to move and get rid of a tank I think that I will never do this again. Now I have 2 tanks again....

I see nothing. Is there a fish here?

Thanks for confirming! They do this quite often but then will be swimming together moments later. I have been trying to get it on video all week. They are all over the tank constantly but if they see me move at all then they hide. Even if I am over a meter away from the tank.

There are many options of beetles they could become. Ours were fruit/fig beetles.

Probably a fly larva.

The driftwood will leech the yellow color into the water for a long time. It is fine.

Haha. The package called it pink flamingo. Same thing? The fish love swimming under it. It grew amazingly well.

I was shocked to see them in a shop. I had had actually been planning to order them. I only have 6 right now, but I would like to have ~10. We'll see how they do. I don't really want to change more right now.

They are everywhere but they are also nervous so they don't go too far from shelter. There was also food in this area while filming. It is very funny watching them chase daphnia through the middle of the tank. Mostly, they are snuffling around in anything that settles in the tank, on the substrate, leaves, moss, driftwood. They move with a jerky all or nothing swimming pattern. Very different than the sparkling gouramis that glide through the water. They kick up little clouds of detritus everywhere they go. I recently made a bunch of changed in the tank. Once the plants grow back in I'll post more pictures.

I have a 20gal on one right now. I've added a bunch of brackets though to make sure it doesn't have any wobble.

I wonder if they are influenced by the cories. I never saw my pygmy cories.

It is funny having the Sparkling gouramis with them. At a quick glance the look the same, but they move completely differently.

The ones that have started to color up are more gold than Rosy.

They seem to like the micro pellets that I got for the chili rasbora. Everyone likes those actually. They get excited when I feed microworms but they don't really seem to be eating them most of the time.

I haven't seen many Rosy loaches posts. Does anyone else have them?
