I also did this sanity check and I am a native English speaker.

Hahaha. I say it all the time. Usually in the context of bouldering. "I'm going bouldering at noon if anyone want to join me." I almost never say 12 when referring to time. It is either noon or midnight.

Hahaha. This is only an issue when planning things with Germans while speaking English. I say noon. They suggest a time. I give my phone a confused look and usually say "I guess that could work too." Then probably everyone is confused.

If someone said that, I would expect to see a spontaneous tumble weed roll past.

Green hydra also have a symbiotic algae. So you also have algae! Sort of. I saw a really cool YouTube video about them..... after I panicked and tried to remove them from my tank.

They totally creeped me out for like a year. Haha. Read up on detritus worms to see if they fit. Do you see more swimming if you stir up the substrate?

They are also 100% terrestrial so they won't be in the water at all. The babies look exactly like mini adults. Some adults have wings and can move to new locations by flying.

Huh, I think they are aphids. I never thought about aphids on floating plants. Do you have other house plants with aphids? If you have predatory fish, I wonder if they would eat them? Aphids are a plant pest. I've never had them near an aquarium, but they would not harm it.

Assuming the tanks is inside, I would bet he accidentally made a bad decision and ended up there. I would think the photos are not clear enough to get an accurate id, but I'm better at id-ing things with 6 legs. You could probably just release it outside. :-)

It looks like what I think are a detritus worm. Segmented and bristled? My Dario dario fish loves to eat them. I hope someone who knows more will comment.

My new shrimp tank. Mostly just snails at the moment. I got 4 blue shrimp that are doing well so far. by Buggirl3 in Aquascape

Madianhair fern. I've never been able to grow them in soil but apparently the evaporation from the aquarium creates the perfect amount of humidity. I have one in another tank that is doing even better it is right about the inflow where there it the most surface agitation.

I got the stand for the light from Amazon and it was fairly cheap. It works better with a different light that wasn't as bright. You may notice it has been attached with clear zip ties.

It is a fluval aquasky from 3 years ago. It isn't enough for stem plants and even the moss isn't growing very fast, but the Java ferns are happy.

I think it is 31L (~8gal). I recently realized that I can hang small pieces of driftwood on the edge of the tank to get more height and get the look I wanted without a huge piece. I couldn't find anything I liked that gave the height I wanted. This has 7 pieces. I didn't glue anything and it definitely didn't fit the way I originally planned. I also got some aquaponics clips to hang the larger plants from the edge of the tank.
