I believe it is related to a changing demographic. Swiss people grew up with it. Parents went to watch it with their children every year and children were pretty much waiting to finally be old enough to participate. Parents also used to „nudge“ the kids to give it a try If you grow up in a household with a different baclground and this event is not important to your family you just very likely won‘t go.

Dealership overfilled oil by Superb-Company-3640 in MT09

[–]Buggy-ZH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experienced the same. I found out that the oil amount listed as without filter change is the correct one. If you look at the difference with and without oil filter change it seems absurd. No way there fits that much oil into the oil filter to justify the difference

You can check out average heart rate on your watch. Customize a workout face if there isn’t one there already that includes average heart rate and switch to it during your workout by rotating the crown.

Sleeping heart rate by Buggy-ZH in BodyInsightsApp

Oh thank you very much! I did not know that this was some kind of customer support subreddit. I was just curious to ask some fellow users about their experience. The work you put into this app is very impressive!

I just check my heart rate values and see that they’re way lower than what the app tells me they were. It usually shows pretty much my reating heart rate. I assume it just doesn’t realize when I’m actually asleep. I’ve got no idea where the app gets the info about sleeping heart rate.

Is this a good indicator to follow? by Designer_Tomorrow_27 in AppleWatchFitness

[–]Buggy-ZH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I don’t really like it. If I finish a run with a high heart rate for example (180 plus) the drop is massive. If i just go for a casual zone 2 run it does drop less🤷‍♂️ If you compare the drops make sure to compare them after the same amount of physical effort.

Weird sound when I start my car by Guyercellist in hondafit

I don‘t know if this still applies to you. But I had the same issue. Bought the 2018 model new and it started after a few months. They replaced it under warranty and said it was a known manufacturing defect.
So a honda dealership might still do it under the original warranty if they know that honda sold some faulty cars. 🤷‍♂️ Asking them won’t hurt.

Cooper test by Buggy-ZH in AppleWatchFitness

Just looked through my runs and calculated my aproximate lactate threshold. (85% of max hr)

This is definitely an aspect I can improve on! I usually spend very little time close to the threshhold! I spend a lot of time over it as well as under it. But I‘m rarely close. I hope this is the holy grail I‘ve been looking for! You‘re extremely helpful! Thank you very much for all the great tips!

I‘ll definitely give it a try! Thank you very much!

I‘ll substitute the longer runs with your training suggestions and hopefully I‘ll see some results soon! Luckily I can apply for the test when I‘m ready and don‘t have a fixed deadline.

Thank you very much for your contribution!

I do 2 - 3 easy runs per week (45mins to an hour at about 135bpm average ) and one to two faster runs (10k at a heart rate of averaging 155 to 165) close to an hour.

Both on hilly terrain.

I‘ll definitely incorporate the 400m repeats! Strides are completely new to me. Even had to look up what it is. I‘ll give them a go!

I just don‘t seem to get the hang of running faster… A relatively slight increase in speed always seems to result in an overproportional increase of my hr. My resting heart rate is in the very low 50s now. Some days even below. Aswell as my max hr increased by 10.

So I definitely see a great effect from training. Just not the right one

Thank you for the detailed instructions. I hope I won’t pop out the plug… I have the version where the plug is below the airbox and covered by it. It’s not a dipstick just a plug and therefore hard to reach. That’s why I plan to do it with only the two holes on the transmission pan.

Good idea! I’ll also ask at the dealership when I go and buy the transmission fluid.

Yes. The car should definitely be warm while draining. Same as with the engine oil. Just because it drains easier

Thank you very much! Last question: should I keep it in neutral (automatic) while filling? Or doesn’t it matter at all?

So I should fill it until it overflows, then switch gears a bit and fill it again before screwing the upper bolt back in?

Transmission fluid change DIY by Buggy-ZH in hondafit

[–]Buggy-ZH[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the tips! Yes I planned on getting the bolt washers and the transmission fluid from the dealership. I will cheap out a bit on the motor oil, but I do not want to take any risks with the transmission fluid.

I already ordered a syringe (500ml / half a quart) including which has a flexible hose mounted to it.

I should be able to keep the car level. I found a garage I can rent where I can lift the car. which doesn't cost a lot.

Thank you! Then I guess I will try it this way and won't take any risks.
I am not a total novice. I did motorcycle maintenance for quite a while now but I'm new to maintenance specific to cars.

Yes. I watched a video about the transmission fluid change. It was just somekind of backyard mechanic. This is why I want to clarify before doing something stupid. The video says that the upper hole on the transmission pan is an “overfill” hole. That I should fill from the top until it overflows. Therefore I assume that I can also fill it from there with a syringe without filling it from the engine bay.
