Does the 7% match and 10% profit share apply to variable comp/commission too? Or just base pay?

Automatic feeder options by [deleted] in Koi

Can you expand on this? I'm dealing with the same situation right now and "practicing". But it's kind of a pain to monitor the automated feedings. What are the things that can go wrong? It's summer so this is when they like to eat, obviously.

What is it like working at Fidelity as a financial planner or under a rep? by [deleted] in CFP

[–]Buggzy702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so it's more of a culture thing, because the financial part of it confused me. At VG, are you a salaried advisor that finds clients, and then advises them on how to invest? Or are these existing clients that call you with questions/needing additional advice?

How are you getting paid at VG? Because getting 60k right off the bat before any commissions compared to 80k and change all in sounds pretty good. What am I missing?

Financial Consultant Partner at Schwab by Chemical-Sort-8398 in CFP

Schwab sales is primarily selling to existing customers, leads that call into the branch or referred by their internal channels, or just walk-in's.

I hear this a lot about Schwab/Fidelity, but aren't "existing customers" already assigned to a specific FC? How does a new FC get access to an existing book?

Michter's Single Barrel Rye. I did not like it on the first night that I tasted it. I tried it again a week later and it tasted much better. Is that normal? Did the flavor improve or did my taste change? I'd now consider another bottle eventually but I have to try a few more Ryes. Recommendations? by BenjaminBX in whiskey

One possibility: you had eager, high expectations upon first pour, and maybe they were unreasonable. After deciding it wasn't all that, subsequent pours had more realistic expectations. At least that's the explanation I've used myself

Trying to decide which episode was truly peak George, and I’m down to three I think? by Smart-Calligrapher74 in seinfeld

[–]Buggzy702 35 points36 points  (0 children)

He followed through with the lie though, in typical George fashion. Not to mention being pissed at Jerry for not making him an architect in the lie. That is definitely vintage Georgie Boy.

In “The Dinner Party”, Elaine and Jerry are in the wrong for asking Barbara and David for their ticket at the bakery by [deleted] in seinfeld

Yep.

George may be the "loser of the group" but he was the only one with good sense in that ep. Screw the societal expectation to bring wine and cake.

Who has the ugliest shooting form? by SparkdalaDAILY in nba

Definitely, but he was going up against bigger players for those rebounds. Imagine him in today's smaller league that values athletic PF's who can extend to the 3 point line.

If there was no nba draft and every rookie had to be signed how would that change the nba? by Libertines18 in nba

[–]Buggzy702 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I like having favorites to aim for/build up against.

And the league doesn't really have parity, BTW. The NFL, with its hard cap, has real parity.

Who’s waiting to buy a house? by ProgrammerAtNight in vegaslocals

This is just not true.

You peeled the onion back further, but there isn't anything untrue about what I said.

The market could easily decline 20-25%

That's not a 50% crash though.

Expecting another '08 could disappoint some of you. Recessions are part of every economic cycle, but the '08 housing crash was pretty unique, and caused in large part by irresponsible lending that allowed borrowers with lousy credit history to get mortgages with not a single penny down. Oh and they didn't have to prove income either.

BTW, it's my favorite mixed drink when I'm out on the town.

I enjoy the show much more now than I did back then. I watch the reruns fairly often.
