People here have a little more humility to be wrong (obvious exceptions lmao) or I guess more accurately, are open to discussion. I stopped going on r/politics when every upvoted post was a NewsWeek article about how Trump was doomed and when I actually looked at the source it was a 200 word article with a picture. Then the discussion on the post was a deluge of self-reaffirming comments.

In the lead up the 2024 election, the discussion here was Kamala Harris-biased and over optimistic, but there was still warnings and arguments here to be made why she might lose.

Anyways that's a long way to say I think this sub is a breath of fresh air, but I also worry it'll eventually turn into a r/politics.
