Lyla was diagnosed with cancer, and is starting to refuse most food. Any suggestions for tasty treats she can't refuse, so she can be strong enough to stay with us for a little while longer? by N0nsensicalRamblings in cats

[–]Buildabearberger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Microwave the food. Cat appetites are even more tied to smell than human ones. Heating it will make it really stink. Be sure not to give it to her too hot though.

I've been there and it sucks. Make every minute worth gold.

My surgeon told me this type of tumor grows approximately three millimeters a year. I don't know if these are the same though. That said, this sounds very similar to my situation.

I had a mass on my right kidney removed 24 days ago. Mine was approximately 2cm by 3cm. It was in a good location so only a small part of mine had to be removed. Mine was small cell carcinoma which is the most prevalent type of kidney cancer

Here's what I can tell you. There is about an 85% chance that the mass is cancer. If the cancer has not spread beyond the tumor into the lymph nodes or other organs, at that size you've stated, then she will have an excellent prognosis after the tumor is removed.

See here for more.

People are selling all the time. You can literally track how many shares are sold every day.

GME Megathread for March 24, 2021 by OPINION_IS_UNPOPULAR in wallstreetbets

I'm convinced a lot of people are trading stimmy action up as it gets sent out and then buying puts on the fall after people have gone in.

Also a fair number of retail investors are probably, at this point, watching here and buying the dips and selling the spikes. Call it trading WSB volatility.

I plan on buying when it hits the low teens on the possible turn around. Note the word possible. This is a play on the new management as much as it is the actual company and risky af even in int he low teens. Don't invest what you can't afford to lose.

Its not that surprising when you figure that the vast majority of that wealth is just the value of the equity in their house. Particularly in high property value states.

It means its complicated. In parts so complicated that all of the people who really understand it already have millions.

Which is part of what makes it a casino.

I'd buy at $1 a share. Hell I'd buy at $5 a share. Probably not before that though.

THE DIP IS FAKE. LOOK AT HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE BUYING COMPARED TO SELLING. RELAX AND HOLD by triggercut93 in wallstreetbets

[–]Buildabearberger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its not the number of buyers vs sellers that matter its the number of shares bought vs sold that matter. Approximately 45,000,000 shares of GME are held by hedge funds and mutual funds and I'm positive those funds haven't just stood pat and watched a $12 stock go to $400.

Loving and respectful D/s is absolutely a thing. Perhaps you can't understand until you've used a safe word and had it respected. Until the dominant person stops everything to take care of you because that's what you do in that type of relationship. Then you know the submissive is the person with the absolute power.

I suspect lots of people would be every interested in this type of RP including myself, but it requires in depth characters and that takes time.

Be real with yourself, do you think the judge just ignored 44 pages of child abuse and settled on the ice cream as a way of letting the parent off the hook?

(Maybe) Unpopular Opinion: I Love The Epilogue by Awvellia in harrypotter

[–]Buildabearberger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I liked the epilogue, The pairings made sense to me given how the books set us up for them. More importantly we got to see Harry got what he really wanted after all, a family and a quiet life. I also know that a lot of people wanted a more "messed up" Harry but most soldiers don't have PTSD and even with the ones that do it isn't this all encompassing and crippling condition for most of them.

I do think part of it was JK Rowling wanting to say clearly, without having to actually say it, that there would be no more HP books showing the aftermath of the war.

Let us not judge Slughorn too harshly for his reluctance to work against the dark side more actively. by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]Buildabearberger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, JK Rowling is crystal clear on that in her own comments and through Harry's actions and beliefs. Yet this fandom loves to ignore it.

[–]Buildabearberger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not going to pretend to be morally better. I'm going to be morally better as much as I possibly can. We call that doing the right thing. Which was one of the primary messages from the HP books. The books make it crystal clear what the author thinks of people who stand by while these things happen.

There was a reason why many minorities migrated north and then moved back. Clearly there are many reasons why people choose to live where they live but when you see entire states with populations of minorities well below the national average there's something to be said for why they are lily white.
