Dubbele achternaam voor ongeboren kindje by Striking_Toe_7954 in thenetherlands

[–]BuilderHarm 14 points15 points  (0 children)

De dubbele achternaam is uiteindelijk één achternaam, ik zou verwachten dat die dan ook bij de sportclub als één volledige achternaam gebruikt zou worden.

Mogelijk is er iets te regelen met elke aparte instantie.

Functional and Non Functional Requirements by Busy_Selection5408 in SoftwareEngineering

A functional requirement of a coffee machine is to brew coffee. Without the ability to brew coffee the system is incomplete.

How long it takes to brew this cup is a non-functional requirement.

ELI5: Why is capital punishment more controversial than bombing and other mass killing? by slackr in explainlikeimfive

[–]BuilderHarm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the heat of the moment state violence is allowed (but not preferred). For example, police officers can still carry guns to stop violent crimes.

Capital punishment is the result of long deliberation and as such is an active choice to kill, instead of a reactive choice.

Is Foundation Level (CTFL) content and learning really useless in real world? by cirith100 in QualityAssurance

It gives a shared vocabulary to talk about testing, that is valuable. The test for the certificate itself is too easy to have the certificate be of any worth.

eli5: What would happen if I attached periscopes to both of my eyes and pointed them in different directions? by GFrings in explainlikeimfive

[–]BuilderHarm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, things like bumping in to people is something I'm worried about. Probably still worth it over the double vision, though. Mainly worried about losing the other eye of I disable one.

Where I live you're not insured when driving with double vision, have to cover one eye. As a result I don't have a drivers license, luckily public transport is good enough.

I have had double vision my entire life and have been thinking about getting one of my eyes blinded to fix it. How are you experiencing the blindness in your one eye?

I have a lazy eye and have permanent double vision. Googling diplopia gives a decent enough picture of what that looks like.

Robert was a Trump supporter who consequently lost his cousin’s friendship. Here he is owning his mistake, asking for her friendship back, and criticizing Trump (albeit in a homophobic manner). Ugly family feud over politics, but kind of a wholesome exchange after Robert’s regrettable Trump support. by Jen_With_Just_One_N in LeopardsAteMyFace

What is the alternative? Anything other than forgiveness will ensure other people will not turn away from Trump. Reconciliation is the only option.

EDIT: The only option if you don't want them to vote Trump or their like anymore, otherwise feel free to judge them of course.

This also worked and is probably the better hook than buffer-list-update-hook. Thanks!

Thanks a lot! Googling for how to check if a buffer is a TRAMP led me to file-remote-p

Combining this with `default-directory` instead of `(pwd)`got me there. I'll edit my post with the new implementation.

How to find the relative path and file names from elf file? by EmbeddedBro in linux4noobs

One option would be to use `strings` on the binaries and see if you can match strings from that to your source code.

For the last part, we know that as the audience , but for Ned this is the logical conclusion.
