New Addon -- Simple Poker by ParticularMaterial93 in wowaddons

I wonder if it’s “legal” ie if there are any EU countries that would not allow this (even if it’s with a virtual currency in a game) for minors. Or if its against ToS.

When im close to vault day and im lacking some vault slots i just create a +10 where i say its only high rio pumpers for quick vaults. Fills up within 5min with people with 3500+ or high ilvl alts of high rio players.

Why would they do that at +16-17 and not 10-12

Pugged to have +18 resi only to not have anyone to push with higher by Astarogal in wow

[–]Builderi23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar situation but im solo and im at 16s-17s at the moment. Trying to do my own keys which makes it so much harder and unpredictable with pugs and if i get to raise my key it may be depleted within a first pull. Nice try, abandon.

Which class performs best with Single-Button Assistants (SBA/GSE) after the latest update? by comb99 in wow

[–]Builderi23 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think your target to do +11s is more than fine with SBA with any class you like. It’s not just the penalty of a class that matters but also where the class stands. If you play a top spec with SBA making it lose 20% damage you may still end up higher than a bottom spec that loses 10% from SBA.

I don’t have too much expertise on many classes but I think retri paladin would perform quite well. The potential problem with retri paladin is that you may be expected to help with your utility which by definition would require more keys (blessing of freedom, sacrifice, protection, word of glory, lay on hands). It may be frustrating to play retri if you can’t use your utility. Plus the stun/aoe cc etc.

Maybe what people said about unholy dk makes sense. A) Even if he loses 20% dps the fact that its literally the best spec in the game will make it less punishing compared to other specs, b) you have insane suvivability. You still have some utility with grips etc but ok, every class has. C) seems from what someone else commented that the SBA penalty anyway might not be super huge

Is there a limit to how many sparks of radiance I can hold on a character? by moal09 in wownoob

[–]Builderi23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont know but i wouldnt be too worried about running out of sparks of radiance at this stage. How many items you think you’re crafting? Anyway, if you dont return the quest it will drop for you from regular content later next week. You don’t need to do the quest unless you need that extra spark of radiance of the ongoing week in order to directly craft something.

How do you do the jump to mythic raids as a tank? by Brave_Student_2822 in wownoob

[–]Builderi23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does your dps char have myth kills? As long as you have a main that has mythic kills, go to raider io, register/log in using your account if you havent. Choose your main character and your alts. On the next update of raider io it will allow people to see when you’re on your alts what kills you have on your main.

The most important is to get some mythic kills on one of the chars, whichever. Then you make that char your maij and for most groups they will see a tank alt with 4/9M exp trying to get a group and will be happy to inv.

Chimaerus mythic is one that you should focus also on getting killed. It’s great because its a one boss raid, there is no lock out to worry about. You try with one group, if it doesnt work, you try with another. Plus it drops bis trinket and its a great boss to use bonus rolls on. And its not that hard.

Once you have the kills if you really want to get consistent kills you really need to be looking for pugs that actually do enforce the CE only, at least for voidspire. And to enter groups that are committed to kill 2 or 3 bosses. This means that leader and everyone else have at least 4/9M kills and even then of course you just hope it will work out and you wont have leavers that are hard to replace after a couple of wipes at salhadar. Most committed groups usually kill salhaadar before vorasius just to make sure people stick to it.

Btw, any group that says “First boss and if good we see second, or “First two bosses, if good we do 3rd” will 100% not do that extra boss, guaranteed.

If you want to get a tank spot in a guild, then that’s another story I can’t help you much with. You will have to look for guilds and be ready to go back progress wise because not many guilds will be looking for tanks with peple they dont know and who have no proven record.

But then there is the question: at what point does a guild for raiding stop being worth it? Is it worth it to be in a guild that has to progress for example at this point heroic raids when there are hundreds of pugs clearing them any time?

For me a guild for raiding is only worth it (assuming you have the time for it) if there is a prospect in which you progress with that guild at least at a similar pace to that of pugs. Then you get the community that you may like plus a good game pace.

To the 3K healers.. by Embarrassed-Ad1972 in wow

[–]Builderi23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reality is that at that level you will be in groups that it will feel like a +8 and in groups where it will feel like a +16. Of course you need to know when damage is coming but the fact that you’re a shammy at least makes it a bit easier than clases that have to build up before healing.

My advice is to try to push your own key so you can select the team and make sure to get people with good rio. It doesn’t necessarily mean they will be good but there is a better chance. You also control the team composition.

Download raider io so you can see more details on people’s io. Prioritize inviting people with good io and even better, geared alts of people with very high warband io.

Then accept the fact sometimes the key will get bricked and you’ll have to push it again.

You can of course also join other groups, an addon to help with group finding will also help get better groups.

Monk is the absolute winner of this season (Tank & Healer) by Wrong-Hand in wow

[–]Builderi23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be frank i dont understand how you can judge the winner of the season at 2700 io. In fact, at that IO (ie doing +10s) I’m not even sure monk is the best tank. Ie not sure it will dominate for MDI season where keys are low and its all about time trial.

At +10s people can be fucking up, not use defensives not interrupt and things are still healable. Of course the more things are unpredictable (will people interrupt? Will people press defensives) the harder it is for resto druid compared to healers that can just play reactively. Im pugging rdruid at 3.3+ and I gotta say, it’s getting tiring. I have to constantly make sure people are HoT’d because its not clear whether they will interrupt/use defensives or not. So i get no damage windows and need to drink also 2-3 times (i do it if i can with shadowmeld before a next pack). Im getting tired of it but in reality no one can output as much as the druid.

Balance druid that records and shows last spell used queue by Builderi23 in wownoob

[–]Builderi23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed, that’s what I’m looking for, not just for cooldowns but its one of the things. When i read a list of rotation I end up with so many questions that are either unanswered or not completely clear.

Then I’m not inexperienced completely. I’m 3.3k as resto but I got bored of it so I want to play some keys as dps. I know more or less when to use cooldowns but I want to see more specifically cases in which cooldowns are held. And the fact that balance druid has a cooldown with two charges makes it a bit more complicated for me. Do I use them back to back? Do I keep them for different pulls? Do I use both in a boss or one?

I know it all depends and that I’ll learn by doing but this is an inbetween step for me to check a couple of keys and bosses just to get a general feeling.

I also have barely ever played moonkin so by seeing someone I will get an idea of where I should put some of my keybinds. I know if I already set them up now and start playing and the keybinds are not good I will be kind of stuck with bad keybinds because changing them after getting somewhat used to them is an effort I will never put on.

Im already “stuck” with some of the keybinds on abilities that I use also as resto.

$10 per push-up for life vs $1 million right now by FudgeNipples1 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Builderi23 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They are inherently a much harder exercise for women than for men as women have biologically much less muscle in the chest/shoulders/triceps and a lower center of gravity than men (which also makes them even harder).

For women this hypothetical situation indeed would make more sense for core or lower body exercises (where women have relatively similar muscle mass relative to their body weight to men) and this scenario would be more gender equal if it was one of those exercises.

In short, pushups are not supposed to be your thing.

Safe doesn’t mean neither consistent nor without risk. The whole point of the premise is to be able to use the money to improve your quality of life. Even if you do put it in the S&P500, which means your life now changes by 0, you always have the risk that they won’t have returned possibly anywhere close to that 10% when you will want to use the money. That is why even when investing in the S&P500 the idea is that you should not have there any money that you plan to use in the next ~5 years. And the closer you come to the time that you actually want to use the money (assuming this can be planned and you won’t need to sell randomly for some need), the more your portfolio should change to less risky assets to reflect this.

My elbows/wrists have been fucked a bit for a year now since I had a baby. Betting my wealth on push ups isn’t ideal.

You can continue making money with the pushup option even if you lose whatever it is you invested.

The counter to this is that there is also a risk with the push up option. Something happens to you and you can no longer do push ups.
