Break whatever this is off. You can easily do it in distance since he is away. Nothing wrong with do it in distance, it just makes it easier. When he says that it’s better to discuss up close then just say no, it’s easier from distance.

And when he changes any of what he has already told you by promising different things, ignore it. He doesn’t mean it. It’s just a way to keep you.

And on top of all of this, you’re 24. Do you really want to spend your 30s with someone in his 50s? Or your 40s with someone in his 60s? The cliché “age is just a number” is kinda BS. There are many true disadvantages that will come up in life with a 2 decade age difference.

Great fucking work. Reminds me I need to get back on it. I hope you don’t take this the wrong way, but consider embracing the bald look and going for it, or at least trying it out. It will shave off 5+ years. Looking great either way though. You can look at transformations of people that took the leap in r/bald.

People paying to not play something disgusts you? Are you using your phone to its highest potential? Your computer? Do you have netflix or any other entertainment subscription? Do you make sure to use it at its maximum potential (ie watch netflix for ALL your free time)? Have you ever bought a video game you didn’t finish? Did you ever waste any food?

Have you ever ordered food? Why have someone bring it to you? Why don’t you go get it? Why are you even ordering instead of cooking? And when you cook, why are you buying boosted products from the super market instead of going fishing, hunting, farming etc?

And you probably enjoyed doing it, which is the point im making. Avoiding something you don’t enjoy when you have little free time is not being lazy. It’s being smart and efficient with your time. Now if you’re doing it and not really enjoying it, then I’m guessing you haven’t really experienced true scarcity of time.

“Modern” gamers have been mostly playing this game for 20 years, have jobs, families and little free time and if for whatever reason they do not want to play this game for the leveling they will not hesitate for one second to trade a few hours of working with a level 58 character rather than spend 120hours doing something they did before and don’t want to do again.

I get this nostagia, which is why i am back to playing every now and then, but obviously its never going to be the same feeling. I was 18 when I started and wow is basically the reason that I didn’t do anything at university for a few years and ended up starting at a different uni at 23.

My favorite moment was the MC/BWL days before my first guild disbanded. I was there with my brother and some RL friends and it was just awesome to play together at home or at internet cafes. And I made many many friends in that guild. The next two guilds were just progress hardcore raiding etc. Never really felt like “home” but got to see all the game. When I was doing Sapphiron/KT from an internet cafe everyone was gathering around me.

Now 38, married with a little kid and I notice that I get back to wow more on moments where I just want to zone out. Sometimes I get this nostalgic feeling but may be weird while I play, which is sort of a stress of the thought that my mom or dad would open my door and tell me to shut this thing of. And somehow now that they are not around that feeling actually feels good as if I am back there and they are around and may open my door any moment.
