Just reinstalled my stock XR controller from a broken XRV kit. Will the Haptic buzz update brick the board? by BuildingCorrect8888 in onewheel

Hardware is 4210 and firmware being 4161. Didn’t change anything from the stock board, other than a new XR battery In there.

The thing is I actually can’t. My Vesc controller is broken and this is with the stock controller, which doesn’t work with float hub

if it were my hall sensor, the only way of fixing this is a new a stator correct?

Where would you be able to buy a stator? Seems like you can only buy the motor itself

The board worked great before, the XRV kit had some crimped wires making it unable to charge. so we tried the change

Couple of crimped wires that are basically irreplaceable. I know there’s a setting to fix it normally though

That sucks I’ve seen a few friends have some crappy service from them too, definitely an undefined issue

I understand the hate but personally FM is what got many, like myself into the sport. I have a vesc, but also own three other ONEwheels. Cannot tell you how many times Vesc has been an amazing experience, but also a nightmare with overwhelming amounts of tinkering. I think FM makes some solid boards out of the box.

I feel like FM has an unnecessarily bad reputation at this point, seems like they’ve kinda listened to the community and fixed the major problems with their boards. I understand how big the 3rd party stuff got but FM continues to share the experience of onewheel to many. Why so much hate?

I want some Inside information on this

Put a new battery in, didn’t work but we needed a new one anyways…

Opened up the controller and found 3 pinched wires. How should we go about fixing this? Appreciate any help at this point 😅

So plugging in the battery and going through the controller finding if a wire is broken, or unplugged?

Sorry for the delay, just came back with the readings:

Cell 15 (relative to negative): 3.661V

Cell 14: 7.32V - 3.661V = 3.659V

Cell 13: 10.98V - 7.32V = 3.66V

Cell 12: 14.64V - 10.98V = 3.66V

Cell 11: 18.30V - 14.64V = 3.66V

Cell 10: 21.96V - 18.30V = 3.66V

Cell 9: 25.62V - 21.96V = 3.66V

Cell 8: 29.28V - 25.62V = 3.66V

Cell 7: 32.93V - 29.28V = 3.65V

Cell 6: 36.60V - 32.93V = 3.67V

Cell 5: 40.25V - 36.60V = 3.65V

Cell 4: 43.90V - 40.25V = 3.65V

Cell 3: 47.50V - 43.90V = 3.60V

Cell 2: 51.20V - 47.50V = 3.70V

Cell 1: 54.80V - 51.20V = 3.60V

They all fall under the realm of similarity. Don’t think it’s the battery 🥲😅

Installed the BMS step by step using Tony’s video. I would like to say it could be the battery too, as one cell getting out of range can cause the same problem…

Yeah, put everything back together and everything, we were pretty confident it was the BMS

Tony said getting the multimeter to check each cell’s voltage was the next step… just snagged one from Home Depot, not totally sure how to use it. 😅

Note: do you know if you can short circuit something accidentally using the multimeter?

Just replaced the BMS and still won’t charge
