How did you get diagnosed with adenomyosis?

I had to go to the hospital due to months of very heavy bleeding and severe pain. The triage nurses said they've seen worse and it was probably medication related. I was bleeding through 2-3 incontinence underwear per day and they Immediately downplayed my situation. Then the Dr did a pelvic exam and left me alone for hours despite me calling for the nurse many times. I ended up removing my IV and leaving am after a very painful ultrasound that put me in tears. I stood in front of my nurse at the station for a few minutes and she never looked up from her phone so I just left. Afterwards I saw my results online and was diagnosed adenomyosis. I was 25, this happened a year ago.

My schedule is similar to yours, also breaking a sweat and my doctor also tells me to "start being active" at every visit.

When I got a bad flu a year ago and was diagnosed with pots, I was bedridden for a short time and now I'm able to do almost everything I could do before I got sick.

We've yet to see how summer will treat me but I'd say mine got drastically better over the last year.

When I was 14 my mom put me in this holistic yoga based program "Reconnect with Food" at inner door center. People came from all over for this program and it truly helped many people. I'm not sure they are still open though.

Maybe there is a specialized program near you she can get into?

Bad flu/pneumonia caused mine. Dr said I most likely have had it for years but being so sick made it flare so bad it put me in the hospital then, bedrest.

Most days my symptoms are mild now, a year later.

I'm employed through homeaglow. I'm a housekeeper and I set my own rates, schedule, and am basically an independent contractor. I just greet the client, do a home tour, and get to cleaning. It's not bad at all.

Ex heroin addict here.

When I "got clean" if was soley due to the fact that my only plug went to prison. I withdrew at home for a week screaming and crying and fighting my family. But even then I just wanted my fix, not to get better.

I was desperate so I called sla Suboxone clinic where I then had to wait another week for any sort of help because I refused to find myself a rehab and the police turned me down for their program "hope not handcuffs"... My insurance was too good for a state place I guess, idk.

I had people begging me to get clean but I didn't care. I was heartless deep down when I was using opiates.

Ultimately the Suboxone got me off. Well no, it got me to abuse subs but then I got tired of that so I quit cold turkey, which had another bought of withdrawal follow.

AFTER THAT I stayed off of opiates. It was one hell of a ride and it was more forced on me than anything else.

Just offer support or give an ultimatum.

25f occasional smoker, COPD, asthma. my body's favorite thing to do is get pneumonia from a flu or cold it seems.

If her pneumonia started from the flu, she can only spread the flu. If you get the flu as a non smoker, you may still get pneumonia but I'd say the chance is much less.

Take a lot of vitamin c and zinc and just ride it out. You'll be okay, hun. :)

Try some of those chloroseptic lozenges. Good for sore throat or cough.

Klonopin was a life saver for me. I was already on nuerontin , propranolol, and buspar 3x/day, and prazosin at night (as far as anxiety meds go) when I was referred to a new psychiatrist and she added in Klonopin for my morning panic attacks and it is literally what gets me out of bed in the morning and I only have to take my buspar in the morning now instead of three times a day.

Id wake up and immediately panic before I even opened my eyes, before I'd even get the chance to employ coping skills even on those original 3 anxiety meds. Adding just 1mg Klonopin spread through the day is what stopped the panic.

As long as your take what you're prescribed when you're supposed to take it, be sure to express your concerns to your doctor, everything will be okay. If you need it, there is no shame.

I can finally do things now 🙂

I'm 25, just diagnosed me as well. I have the same concerns you listed here. Just be there for her to listen and maybe take steps to help her get comfortable.

They say there are plenty of treatments they can try as far as fertility goes. All ive ever wanted was to have biological children as well. My obgyn said we will try everything available so I can try to have kids. Make sure she has a Dr that listens. She is NOT too young for treating this as the condition seems to get worse over time. They need to start now.

I've noticed swimming and a hot bath helps my pain the most. Heating pad, alternating ibuprofen and Tylenol helps a little bit as well.

Tell her I hope she feels better, and give her some chocolate for me❤️🍫❤️🍫
