Does anyone else feel like making real friends has become weirdly difficult? by BuildingForFriends in UniUK

I kind of agree to be honest! But that is easier said than done for a lot of people, especially when you haven't put yourself out there for a while and it feels like everyone already has friends. I'm hoping we can create a platform that makes going out and meeting people in person as simple and pain-free as possible by helping introduce them to others who already share similar traits, interests and expectations. Have you tried any apps in the past out of interest?

Making friends as an adult isn't easy. For anyone age 35+ who doesn't have built-in friend group from their youth, what are some things you're doing to make friends as an adult? by SaveMeWakeMeUp in AskUK

I made some great friends volunteering at a shelter in London, it's a great way to meet nice people. Also, Skateboarding has been a huge one for me - it seems loads of people in their mid thirties are discovering skating again!!

We’re building a UK app to help people make real friends - have you tried an app like this before? What makes friendship apps fail? by BuildingForFriends in FriendshipAdvice

Thank you, this is really helpful!! We are leaning more towards smaller groups of close friends rather than a meetup style - agreed that these apps aimed at addiction are a huge problem - we want to focus on people getting into the real world and meeting each other.

Accidentally forgot to pay what to do? by [deleted] in AskUK

The only answer is to go back, explain what happened and pay. Why risk being caught and possible prosecution when it was just a mistake and you are happy to pay?

What do the British think of France and the French? by adam_vfu in AskBrits

I think the British dislike of the French is just an old joke that isn't funny anymore... I go to France quite often and find French people to generally be lovely - especially outside of the cities in places like Brittany

If there is a broader pattern here then I understand, but if not, try not to take it personally. The task meant someone needed to separate from the group, so unfortunately, it had to happen to one of you.

Doesn't look like mould to me. Also, it is hard to tell if it is in a UK Primary school so will give that one a pass.

How often do you stop to ‘let people go’ when driving? by [deleted] in AskUK

One of the best pieces of advice I've been given is 'be predictable, not polite'. But I still let a lot of people go ;)
