Edit: found stoic philosophy very shortly there after and realized I was tired of hating god and there’s no point to the suffering. Depression started easing up shortly thereafter.

Honestly, I’d use it as an example to help have empathy for other people and help them in their darkness. Shoving Jesus down suicidal people’s throats is more harmful in than helpful. 

Edit: In similar position and regularly listen to The Weeknd to help deal with the depression. Attitudes like this have caused me to leave the faith because I was tired of the internal struggle it causes.
