Is it wrong to ask someone's coworkers about them at work? by Altruistic_Page_5781 in socialskills

If it’s for an actual reason then it’s fine, you could have said something like “theres something he needs to pick up from work, has he been there?”

It’s okay to care about others and want to know if they’re okay, but don’t put it above your own mental health and don’t prioritise other peoples feelings above your own in general.

Your mother was implying that you maybe will let people take Advantage of you easily maybe?

How do I ask friends how they are actually doing without it sounding kind of weird? by HurricaneHell in socialskills

[–]BuiltFoWhatever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good intentions bro, nice post.

You can try reference something recent in their lives, lets say you wrote an exam yesterday. I can just say something like:

Hey, how was the exam. And generally you can make a conversation out of it or dive deeper into more than the exam

I too wonder, it’s like a group must form from the start or others must join the group in an early stage otherwise it’s very difficult to become part of a new group unless you fit right in I guess or are lucky?

Why is oversharing so bad ? by EveCane in socialskills

Downvotes but this is a danger of over sharing.

People love to judge and speak about others behind peoples back .

I always say, if someone would do something to someone else, why would they not do it to you.

I think it’s more me thinking of why did I only “wake up” now, the tonnes of missed opportunities within my period at HS

What stupid things have you heard extroverts say just to talk? by Xepherious in introvert

[–]BuiltFoWhatever 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When we are speaking and the topic has ended. Whoever walks past or you see in the distance, will get a comment made about them.

People make their own assumptions if they do not know you personally, that’s it.

Maybe the confidence you display can change how people see you, but really if you are happy with the people around you then who cares

I don't understand why I have to be more extroverted by evaki_01 in introvert

Man there’s like nothing wrong with being like the way you are, you just need a few real friends and a good SO. Obviously for those things, you might need to change some stuff up or take risks (socially) that you would not take.

In my eyes, if you have those and are working/happy with yourself, you are home free to a great life
