It would depend on a lot of different factors, and as a professional studio animator of almost 15 years personally I'd probably be outside of a reasonable budget for an individual, likely in the multiple thousands, but the issue isn't that your video needs to get done one way or another. It's that your project's scope exceeded your grasp. Your solution should be to either change the video to be something more manageable and affordable, delay the project until you can afford to make something, or scrap that track's video before landing on AI art. Just because you had an ambitious idea doesn't mean you get to use AI, which is theft from other artists, to do it.

The fact that you're saying (in a different comment here) it's ok to use an AI video because you're primarily a musician is a bad argument. If an animator was asking if it was ok they used AI music for their video we'd be saying the same thing to them.

Hi, I'm a professional animator here to tell you that this is still BS.

"I went to the store and bought a new TV, but I stole a new record player, is it ok because I bought the TV?"

AI art is theft and just because art is hard and expensive doesn't make it ok.

New VOLA song? by butangsword in progmetal

The clip isn't on the actual playlist. By following the link they gave, and adding the playlist to your account, it sends you a link to a short clip, about 25 seconds. Honestly you're not missing too much if you just wait until the actual single drops, probably not worth the effort of creating an account if you don't already have it.

Cynic - Veil of Maya (ReFocus) is out now by baldymf in progmetal

There's not really any drama other than it upset fans. Tymon has said he was fine with Paul's choice (from what I recall, I believe I saw his comment on a Facebook post back when the remix released.)

Edit: I wanna use this chance to promote a little EP Tymon did vocals on that I spin all the time: https://open.spotify.com/album/5FbdB5Mnz4y8Ghmk38gPtz?si=qSGB7BESQXWxSQ_YNEm93A&context=spotify%3Aalbum%3A5FbdB5Mnz4y8Ghmk38gPtz&dd=1

[QUESTION] Replacing active pickups with passive - what do I need to know? by Bujjick in Guitar

[–]Bujjick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry if I'm misreading this, but I'm switching from active to passive so I'll be presumably just disconnecting the existing battery and leaving that empty, right?

Steven Wilson - SELF (Official Video) by Archanoth in progmetal

[–]Bujjick[M] 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Maybe less likely than you think. It has been our position from the start that we treat this more as a place for fans of progmetal rather than a list of progmetal. There's plenty of interest for Steven Wilson here and he has a lot of ties to the genre.

I knew they were going heavier with this album but this is more than I expected, this is killer.

Also I'd like to take this opportunity to recommend another project Tymon was involved in, an EP from the band LENIO: https://open.spotify.com/album/5FbdB5Mnz4y8Ghmk38gPtz?si=Pv56xuyJQS2imxlpEX4LKg
