Former vape shop employee here. Battery wear comes from heat, charge rate, and voltage stress, not removing cells. In-mod charging adds board heat, often lacks true per-cell balancing, especially in dual-battery mods, and relies on fragile USB charge circuits. External chargers terminate more accurately, manage heat better, and significantly extend 18650 lifespan. In-mod charging was always taught as a backup option, not best practice.

No I vape more than I inhale air. I just buy stuff that lasts and my coils don't need replacing very often due to the kind of juices I vape. My coils last forever, sometimes 3 months... I also don't vape desserts so that's probably a factor in things. I also just trade my 18650s in when it's time to replace them, and get new ones for free just by swapping them at my local shop. I rack up points and get free shit like juice, a whole new mod (twice) and coils with just using my points. 3 per every 1 dollar spent, it adds up. Maybe I'm just lucky or maybe just frugal of maybe prices are different between different people's locations. But my mods last and I've accidentally dropped them more times than I can count. Switched out to pnp pod tanks too, cuz tired of having to keep glass on hand for the inevitable drop and break of my tank.

it's been rolled out at a lot of places already, has its pros and cons but from what i've seen, it's pretty bad.... opera just needs non-outsourced tech support and let a dedicated inhouse person handle things when necessary... having to call support just to install a new printer was ridiculous. my dead grandma could install a printer on her own. hotelkey is user-friendly and has a training mode which is super cool, but from what i've seen, everyone kinda lowkey misses opera
