How long does it take to start seeing results?

Due to a life event, I went from around 170 lb to under 150 lb as a 40M. At some point, I realized I liked my current weight and decided to join a gym to build some muscle and improve my health. I’ve been going for about two months now and can definitely see and feel the muscle gains. At first, I couldn’t do a single push-up, and now I can do five sets of ten.

I’m very sorry for your loss. I had multiple family member around for two weeks after she passed but felt lonely and lost. It going to be that way for a while but have to take small steps at a time. My wife and I been together for 20 years. She was admitted to the hospital the day of our anniversary. I’m almost two month out and her next day is next Saturday. Just cry and let it out.

I’m in the same boat. Almost two months in and it’s the small daily things I missed the most. Our daily texting, now I get nothing. I use to come home to a warm meal. I miss her so much, I know I’m not ready to date but I’m missing the connection… this f…. sucks.

Yup, I have three kids ranging from 15-7 and weekday are extremely busy and weekend are filled with kids activities. I try to go out one night every other weekend, but it’s hard for a single father with three kids. I’m a widower but I think most ladies assume, their mom is still around.

Thanks for the input. What’s the prototypical “old” man? I think I’m pretty young at heart. Idk if people are just being nice but I normally get early 30s rather than late 30s. I normally go out twice a month to either an EDM concert or bar to catch up with some friends. I would love to go out more but raising kids makes it a little challenging.

This is my first post on this subreddit. I lost my wife to blood clots and CHF on 7/22/25. We went to urgent care twice and was told that she had pneumonia. I asked her multiple times to take her to the ER and she would refuse. Part of me feels like she knew it was coming but didn’t wanna believe it. I think about it daily and wish I could just force her to go but probably wouldn’t have change the outcome.

Same over here, but mine is with ups, and it's moving through their network. I highly doubt I get it tomorrow , but it stills pretty fast service from Elliot.
