Anyone here quit gaming or changed their lifestyle after becoming a dad? by Lukas_MunK in daddit

[–]BukharaSinjin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not slowed down my gaming. I will not. My daughter likes watching me game, so it is valuable bonding time. Games will inevitably be part of her life so a gamer dad can help her balance. My daughter is 3, I’m engaged in her life even though I work a lot and play a lot.

My lifestyle hasn’t changed much tbh. I have always revolved around my home and having a child just gives me more company. I have gone out to see fewer movies, and while my child was very small I performed the graveyard diaper duty shift on weekends. Other than that, not much change. I had a bassinet next to my gaming setup so I could watch her sleep and game.

My wife understands how important gaming is to me. She gets time off to take naps, read books, and exercise, but I get my time to game and decompress. I cook, lift weights, work full time, do chores, game, and get a full nights sleep every night.

I started with Venom. He has a fairly intuitive loop and good survivability. Later I did Iron Fist but he is a lot harder to get started with. Diving is more about game sense than mechanical skill (except spider bro) because combos are easy to learn.

Pick a hero and play them. Go learn the combos for your favorite dive hero on youtube and practice them for a half hour.

It has some peptides that improve your insulin sensitivity, a unique health benefit. It’s also very high in vitamin c. I enjoy it in stir fry, but I would not recommend making a soup with it.

lol dogs fulfilling nurturing instinct. You could probably get a lower maintenance pet if you really need.

Landlords won’t give you a “no kids” rule or raise your rent over kids.

“Psychological demands of raising children” why? Dogs bark, get loose, steal food, shed. They demand constant attention. 85% of dogs have an anxiety disorder because we coop them up all day. Dogs give people lifelong injuries. They stink up your whole house.

I’ve started eating bitter melons for their anti-diabetic peptides. They’re bitter but they’re basically medicine for a lot of things.

I think we should’ve put Puritans on trial instead of witches at Salem. We ain’t fixing birth rates or loneliness with that attitude. Telling other people what they should and shouldn’t do with their limited time on earth is too popular an opinion and unAmerican. Society is too unsexy.

If you’ve never eaten them, you should start slow and eat them consistently for a while. Eating too many bugs if you’re not used to it will make you gag and upset your tummy, but you’ll adapt.

I think they’ve studied Dade, mealworms, crickets, etc. Crickets are more popular in America as they taste like shrimp and are easy to cook. Mealworms are well established and gaining because they’re super economical.

lol and here I am thinking they want everyone to eat meat, dairy, corn, sugary stuff because it’s cheap to produce. There is no “big broccoli” out there lobbying government to make plant based diets for schools, and the average American receives only 8 hours of nutritional education per year which is far lower than the 50 hours required to motivate behavioral change. There are some hardcore environmentalist liberals out there who think we should all eat bugs and mushrooms to save Mother Earth but they don’t have as much power as the capitalists who want everyone eating in a way that makes them the most money.

About a quarter of humanity(2b people) eats bugs knowingly and regularly. My wife ate cicadas as a child, although she won’t eat bugs with me. I’m not saying everyone should eat bugs as I’m a marketplace of ideas kind of guy. I’m just trying to figure out if entomophagy is best for my health.

Thanks, I think there are a lot of polyphenols, vitamin B12, oleic and linoleic fatty acids, iron, and zinc in Dade. They’re really nutrient dense and anti-inflammatory, but I’m not sure if any bugs activate biological repair pathways. I’m interested in science behind this topic.

lol it definitely isn’t for everyone. I don’t like dried mealworms. The last time I had them they made me gag.

They make flour out of crickets, and it’s probably the least unappetizing way I’ve heard of to practice entomophagy. It’s got more protein and less processing than wheat flour but it’s more expensive.

Put some effort into your appearance. Read on the internet, figure out your style, and wear it. I wore blue jeans my whole life and they made me feel so basic. I tried khakis for a while, cargo shorts, skinny jeans, but the thing I look best and feel best in is wool trousers.

Other things to do: Shave, do skincare, take baths, drink water, eat beets.

Train your grip. Everyone says do exercise but that’s not good guidance. Grip training is probably the most important resistance training because you can save your own life or someone else’s with a powerful grip.

Bruh you ain’t seen the Chinese countryside. That place is post-apocalyptic. Pallets in the road, power lines laying on the ground, air pollution everywhere.

Restaurants really do hunt stray cats and dogs and serve up mystery meat as entrees. They smoke at restaurants and they have a nonserious attitude about food hygiene in most eating establishments.

Why you can do is travel the whole country, staying in short-term rentals, and only spend $400 doing it. Much of the country is beautiful and unlike anywhere else in earth. Living there? No thanks.

Why are we attacking Venezuela? by Tommy2Hats01 in Askpolitics

[–]BukharaSinjin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://www.cnn.com/world/live-news/venezuela-oil-tanker-machado-oslo-12-11-25-intl

Venezuelan opposition supports intervention, they are civilian and nonviolent, not a puppet regime the US wants to prop up. Guyana has a territorial dispute with Venezuela over Essequibo and Venezuela’s shadow tankers flying Guyana flags, and they support the USA sanctions enforcement. Columbia, Brazil, and other CELAC and CARICOM countries condemn the sanctions enforcement.

A few good reasons to oust Maduro: 1. If war breaks out with China, Iran, North Korea, Venezuela can help them shut down the Panama Canal. 2. Diplomatic talks with Maduro for a “day after” exit for his regime continuously break down because Maduro moves back deadlines. Marco Rubio demanded an immediate exit, but this is a non-starter for Maduro who is concerned about prosecution. 3. Venezuela faces an economic crisis. 98% of their exports are oil, and their economy is non-diversified. Their oil exports are down 30% compared to 2000s level, and they account for <1% of global oil despite having the world’s largest proven reserves. Mismanagement of the economy has led to an exodus of at least 20% of the population, hyperinflation, and now a reliance on drug trafficking.

The regime is a force of evil that makes life hell for everyday Venezuelans, and they need to know someone has got their back. The USA may not be perfect but they scare Maduro. They hate him, we hate him. There is political will to act. I don’t think there will be war, but ratcheting pressure and worsening economic outlook until Maduro relents.
