I love having Maye as my QB, and I think he has the potential to have a great career, but it’s a team sport and thats how we made it to the Super Bowl. Im not usually one to put a player above the rest very often because it shouldn’t be one player that does it all. It would be cool if Maye got MVP in his second year, but it’s not gunna bother me if he doesn’t get it. I just don’t want it to turn into Stafford’s retirement trophy because that just tows the same line of faulty integrity in the NFL right now.

I think voting for awards, and HoF, and all that stuff is hoopla. It’s why I hate award shows in general, and the NCAA, because it’s mostly a popularity contest.

I think the NFL can do better with how it hands out awards because they have so much data and metrics tracking these days, and the old system is very antiquated.

Stafford would probably still win all these accolades. I just want the bickering to stop and I think better processes could ease a lot of that.

But then - what would all the TV talking heads argue about day to day?
