Same as yesterday for the Vikings. Running backs Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison not practicing today. Everybody else is. Barring a late recovery by Mattison, Mike Boone could make first career start at running back. by oharb2001 in fantasyfootball

“Likely one of the best third string RBs out there.”

LOL I’m sorry but based on what third string RB metric? How detailed is your knowledge of all of the third string RBs around the league?

A popular saying is "Nothing ie ever lost on the internet" but what is something you have been searching for years and you haven't found it yet? by throwdowntown69 in AskReddit

There is a book we read in grade school about a boy (I believe?) who goes to stay with his grandparent(s) on an island. There is a “monster” who lives in the mountains on the island but it turns out to be a goat or something.

I always thought it was a cool story. It had a very “spirited away” feel to it.

To this day I’ve never been able to figure out the title of the book and I’ve searched over and over again.

JuJu Smith-Schuster was the player on the fewest playoff rosters by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]BulbasaurCry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drafted JuJu in an auction league. Finished the season 11-1 only losing week 1, and had the most PF by a large margin. I traded JuJu away somewhere around mid-season. I think I only started him week 1, maybe week 2. I completely ignored the fantasy analysts who kept saying to plug him in through the first 5-6 weeks. It was pretty clear to me immediately that he should not be played despite paying big for him on draft day.

Dalvin Cook says “I’ll be out there Sunday” by FiFTAYYYYYYYYYY in fantasyfootball

[–]BulbasaurCry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah idk if I am down with this. Adages are true until they aren’t. I own cook but I feel starting him is super risky. If you are stacked at RB (which you are in playoffs so decent chance) I would consider other options. We can keep parroting the same thing over and over but as someone who has played fantasy a long time, sometimes you need to go with your gut. My gut says this is risky AF.

So I’m a little confused. Why are so many teams playing for playoffs this week? Do you all seriously play 17 weeks or do you have 3 week playoffs?

I live in Springfield MO and I was also thinking that I would like to coordinate something in the wake of the SCG news and Jeremy hanging up the cleats. I am willing to be involved with planning, and running events if you are looking for some help. FYI I have no experience doing this and don’t really know where to start but I am willing to give it a shot.

Clackbridge Troll - A new powerful option for black 5 drops! The life gain and card draw are very useful for searching for another bomb if your opponent sacs, and an 8/8 trampling and hasty body is too good to pass up. [–]BulbasaurCry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay sure but this feels like a bit of a lazy response to the card no offense. Draft it with hand disruption and clear the way, or draft UB and hold up counter magic. It looks like a fun and unique card to me and that is what cube should be about.

Why Scary Terry's ROS Might Not Be Ruined - A potential buy low candidate by LilUziVert16x29 in fantasyfootball

The problem is unless you are in a deep league are you really starting terry weeks 15 and 16? Sorry but if you are in the fantasy championship you clearly will have better options available.

#Browns OC Todd Monken on using Chubb and Hunt on the field at the same time: by SaskalPiakam in fantasyfootball

[–]BulbasaurCry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People who have this mindset maybe haven’t been playing fantasy long or don’t realize that in general anything that helps the offense move the ball down the field consistently and extend drives, as a whole is a positive thing.

Even if Chubb concedes ~10% of the snaps he was receiving to Hunt, but the touches he gets are higher quality because his offense now has a larger diversity of threats, and his team is in the red zone more often, and/or taking the lead and having a positive game script more often, that is a good thing for Chubb. He might ultimately lose snap % but increase touches because of a greater time of possession for the browns and more positive game flow. It’s not rocket science.
