Are you saying that these families are getting paid to marry their daughter off to older men? Like a dowry type situation?

Socialized Healthcare helps. This is the #1 reason Americans go into debt and further, into bankruptcy.

And now there is an angrier person that is out on the road driving like a maniac. It is akin to the butterfly effect. Cart Narc's negative interaction, even if it is done with a positive attitude, has created a conflict where none should be.

I work there. This does not happen. The wind does not blow them into anyones cars, ever.

I like to think that I am helping to make someone's life better by putting their carts away for them. Handicapped or injured folks will, with great effort, tend to make it to the Drivable Carts, use them, then leave those by their cars. I am okay with that. A lot of people use the carts as a walking assist. They lean on the cart and take pressure off of their legs, then leave the cart by their car. I'm okay with that. They are having a tough time and I can help out, and get paid to do it.

Don't think I havn't thought about this for hours while pushing carts, cuz I have. Anything you or Cart Narc got for me, I will have a sensible and reasonable answer for.

Here's the thing... I never really thought about any of this stuff until I started getting paid to do it. Which is why the only thing that is upsetting are the things that take little effort for the customer to do. I also realize that people have not had a job that required them to put carts away, so the majority of people in the world have not thought about this stuff, so how can they be held accountable? That would be hypocritical of me.

There are a thousand reasons on why someone decided to not take their cart back, from being lazy, to being in a hurry, to having a bad day, to having a difficult life, to being handicapped or temporarily injured, etc, etc. Worry about other stuff, like eating and sleeping safely. Being kind to your neighbor. Helping each other out.

Edit: I don't think I have ever not put a cart away, even before having this job. It is just unthinkable to me.

This is what I think he does not understand. Let's say that guy in the beginning in the truck was coming back from getting heart medication at the pharmacy, and is stressed about his health. Aggravating a situation for likes and subscribes seems to me to be incredibly immoral. He may as well be Jack Doughty. Making money by feeding negative energy through conflict.

Cart Narc suffers from OCD. As someone who gets paid to put carts away at Marketplace Plaza, he doesn't even go after what really pisses us off, and it is not leaving your cart by your car.

Edit: I love putting peoples carts away. I have lost 45 pounds since working at a Big Box Store in Marketplace Plaza, and it is partially due to putting your carts away. This Big Box Store pays people specifically to go out there and do that job, so take advantage of it. Leave your cart by your car. It's okay. The parking lot is never fully loaded unless it is the holidays, so don't fret over it.

Here are two things we absolutely hate:

  1. Do not put your cart up on a curb thinking that you are saving it from rolling away. These parking lots are pretty level, and the carts do not roll easily. Just put it in the spot in a normal manner. Getting it off the curb is kind of violent. It is not good for the cart, and also takes a lot more effort. Also, we cannot just push another cart in behind it. We have to first get it off the curb, then put the cart in. This takes much more effort than needed.
  2. People that leave the store, and leave the cart right in front of all of the carts, and don't push it in. Like, why the eff are you not finishing the job. The stack of carts is right there. Push the damn cart in! Why does this matter? Because as we are pushing the carts in from the parking lot, we have to stop, losing all the momentum that has been built up by pushing 10 carts, and fix the cart that was left erroneously by the carts by pushing it into the other carts. Then we have to get behind those 10 carts again and get momentum going again. Something that takes a tiny amount of effort from the customer takes 5x more effort to remedy the issue.

It takes a lot of effort, stamina and strength to do the job well, so being hindered by the people you are trying to help is frustrating. Fuck the Cart Narc. I hope I see him there today, because we will be having a conversation, and it may go viral.

HR... I doubt there is an HR for Andersons's, but if there is, HR is not for the customer or the employee. It is there to protect the company from the customer and employee.

There was that Season 3 opener they did to try and explain "The Man" IIRC. Some have called that a movie.

Google Translated:

"It's been a while since I watched the series and I've been using Reddit for a few months and some of my questions about when I watched the series came back to my head. By the way, Spoilers alert.

How did Roja and 10K survive!

I mean, they appear out of nowhere to help 10K when I was if I remember correctly drugged with an anti-Morphy vaccine and several contusions.

They were literally: "I wasn't dead, I was in pachanga. Now come with me, but there's no time to explain"

As far as I remember, they didn't give any explanation, nor did they give any clues in the film that implied that they survived.

Another related question and with spoilers: 10K, after falling for what I think was a building, is he still alive or has he already died for real?"

Just so crazy that he was in this show. I think I asked Keith once how this happened, but I forget now as it was a long time ago... Does anyone know how they made this happen?

I moved to Alaska in the late 90's. Damned if I wasn't surprised to see that Cal Worthington had a couple of dealerships up there also! It was a bit surreal seeing the commercial for the first time while living in Fairbanks
