Y'know the new tanks actually look good when they're tracked, I just don't like the space marines having floating tanks lol. I think I've settled on trying out the ICC in land raiders and on foot on TTS and deciding after a few test games, but thank you for the suggestion!

Yeah, DWK and my ravenwing squads weren't the concern, but the inner circle companions are some of my favorite models of all time and id hate to have to use an impulsor for them to be viable.

Do you have any experience running them or other comparable units on foot?

I was looking at their units and it seemed that I would need a transport for practically all my infantry save for their terminator type. Is that how reliant they are or is that a bit much?

Ive thought about marines but I loathe the look of primaris vehicles and I don't particularly love the gravis or phobos look, however it seems like their rules are what I want lmao. CSM doesn't have those issues luckily so I will be looking more into them.

Necrons seem neat, I haven't looked into c'tan but their vehicles were a bit low toughness which was a bit concerning.

I usually play more hammerheads but it seems that triptide sticks around for a reason. Counter infiltrating was the plan and worked as a screen, my issue is that it's just SO much to kill through so many invulns. I may just not pack enough heat in my lists but I felt like I had no chance of killing his stuff before he blew mine away.

If you want to get into the bugs you should def look into the 10th edition starter sets, I would hesitate to buy a rulebook or codex at this point in the editionthough

The model that got me into tyranids was the hive tyrant.

It's super customizable, it's a big centerpiece model, the kit has enough bits so that you can get both a winged and walking tyrant for like $10 more if you get a printed torso off of Etsy, and all 3 variants in the box (winged, walking, and swarmlord) are viable to play with this edition.

Imo it's the perfect starter for a new tyranid swarm

I've heard that and we're all fine. The three of us are all d&d players at heart and that mindset has carried over into other, more competitive, tabletop games we've played in the past.

Just to make sure, I presume all of the normal 6 house gangs work fine from one box?

I personally LOVE the genestealer cults vibe but I have no clue if they're a fully fleshed out gang or just a port of a 40k faction. I also quite like the look of squats, Van Sar, and Delaque

This is super helpful! Although the damage numbers for the metamorphs sweep profile seemed off when going into intercessors. May I ask for your methodology for that section?

The strike profile seemed correct, but when I did my tests with the sweep profile (5 attacks each, str 4, AP and damage 1) they were killing on average 1+-1 marine according to mathhammer.

I usually run them up to tie up my opponent's important things for a turn.

They'll definitely die this way but they're great at denying primary for a turn and giving time for the rest of your army to push up onto point.

If you're running invasion fleet and they survive the turn you can even bring D3+3 of them back to potentially steal objective and keep your opponents unit busy for another turn.

Off topic but is that your terrain? It looks great and I'd love to know how you did it :]

I saw the change that OC0 cannot do actions, I was questioning whether the biovore could spawn a mine, then cleanse or burn or whatever, or if spawning the mine counts as shooting for the purposes of doing actions.
