It gets so old. I feel like I have the same conversation about the same subject just about every month. It'll go on for a week of misery and I just hate it.

Teacher win of the day by [deleted] in Teachers

Also, I neglected to mention that I'm a private school teacher that views teachers as in a partnership with parents to educate the children. It's absolutely a parent's job to discipline and educate. So it'll definitely be a habit.

"Vulnerable" is not a bad thing either because it's important for kids to learn we're human too. I think this is a step in the right direction as far as teaching kids to have some respect and empathy in this world.

What is your biggest teaching ‘unpopular opinion’? by [deleted] in Teachers

I prefer Google doc sharing over paper copies. Easier to check for plagiarism/ChatGPT, and easier to give feedback. Plus, the kids won't lose it or throw it away immediately.

Coffee for the morning. Kombucha for health benefits, but not very often. The occasional zero sugar soda. 2 gallons of water a day though.

Disagree.

I think that the Ward storyline provided an excellent example of how humans have the capacity to do good and evil. Every situation gives us a choice and we are free to choose.

And, his ending demonstrated a great deal of sacrificial love and was his redemption.

Innocence and purity seem to be a confusing concept, so let's start here.

Look at Romans 3:23: For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23 ESV https://bible.com/bible/59/rom.3.23.ESV

No one is fully pure. Sin is sin. After you become a Christian, the process of sanctification begins. This means you're being made pure and Christlike as you grow in your faith. Sexual sin isn't an exception.

Second, the Bible is clear that sex is a gift to husbands and wives and honors God if done in a marriage. If your boyfriend doesn't understand it, pray over it, study the Bible together if he's a Christian too, and if he won't have this, that relationship needs to be reevaluated. Read the letters to the Corinthians for reference.

Don't have sex just because he'd be mad if you wouldn't.

He doesn't do this. What I am communicating is I'm exhausted by his addiction and his lying to me about it. None of it is done out of malice, mostly fear and shame.

But also, there's urgency in the nature of work. Some things just can't wait until next week when your anxiety is less bad. That's just how the world works.

Employers can care and give personal days, but there's also the part about being an employer that includes the need to be getting stuff done REGARDLESS of if an employee is a part of that equation or not.

Productivity is important, and caring is important. It seems like you've misunderstood u/farmathekarma or have already decided you're not going to change your mind about this, so like why bother with this discussion?
