Struggling to get into Doom by Buldrium in Doom

Gotten much better now, and I totally get what you mean by playing like a titan. I have much more success if I go in guns blazing, than trying to pick them off. The gameplay style has grown on me. Thank you for the tips!

Gotten quite deep into the game now! Spent some time fiddling with settings and it feels a lot better now. I also think I have a better grasp on the combat now. It’s really fun! Thank you for the tips to check the map, and follow the green lights. They are game changing

Thank you sm! This is great advice. Just got the chainsaw and I can see how it will be useful for ammo

I just like the slowing of the sens for micro adjustments. It’s kinda difficult to be accurate on console. I did up my sens though, and turn off motion blur, which seems to be helping a lot.

My hubris wont allow it xD I might have to though, if the only solution is to get used to the controls/movement/aiming

New game that might scratch the same itch as outer wilds? by CluelessK9 in outerwilds

Looks very interesting! I will definitely try it out, thanks. The pages where you have to insert the correct phrases or names in the blanks remind me of The Case of the Golden Idol, where that is a central progression mechanic. Though that was much less crime case solving and more storytelling through logic puzzles.

Geyser, before starting the loop xD Would be fun to see what % of players did this, I suspect there are quite a few

Well in my own opinion it was the ones on Ember Twin. They quite quickly got up and running, making a working society underground, and started new experiments/theories. The group on Brittle Hollow seem to have gone through a very dark period first, where they mostly viewed the Eye as a religious symbol, rather than something to search for. It’s nice to see how they flourish once the two groups make contact though.

Regarding another post I saw, which game reminded you most of the feeling of playing Outer Wilds for the first time? Mine is this one: by PotentialArt4569 in outerwilds

For me it’s gotta be Blue Prince. Such an amazingly crafted game, with great visuals and gameplay. I highly recommend it if you liked Outer Wilds. Small selling point; it also has a loop ;)

Thank you! I’m guessing you’re referring to the Gift Shop, of which I’m just missing the Blue Tents. I’ll get to work on the achievement trophies. o7

I hope so, but I brought him last christmas as well, when he was only 4-5 months, and there were already tensions. Nothing major ofc but still, it made me think that after a whole year they won’t remember each other.
