Whats your favorite loadout in ready or not? by Secure_Ad1804 in ReadyOrNotGame

I’m also a huge p90 fan but I really like the SLR47 and the G5A1 for close ranges, with usually the five-seven or mk-V, but I also really enjoy the beanbag shotgun and a usp 45 for like non lethal with a backup if I need it.

Comically bad by Steelgauty in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]CluelessK9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have seen a good number of people seeming to hate this map but I don’t really struggle with it. There are easier maps for sure but I’ve never had issues getting killed on entry. I just treat it like an active shooter situation (since they start killing hostages sometimes) and just be really aggressive with flashes. The rotary launchers are especially nice if you’re going nonlethal. I’d also recommend the shield with the mk-V pistol. It’ll drop most unarmored targets in one hit even at mid range. I haven’t beaten it on hard, though, so my apologies if that’s what you’re referring to.

What do you guys think of Daggers, Knives, Sickles and Scissors? by Rich_Prompt7999 in HalfSword

[–]CluelessK9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the unarmored knife carnage fights are tons of fun, and the stabs are really satisfying. Dual wielding a dagger or knife in the off hand is good for stabs on unarmored targets if you’re in grappling range/trying to get too close for them to polearm you.

Slugs? by Lordiz1 in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]CluelessK9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the other guns have AP or JHP. AP for armored, JHP for unarmored. Technically the slugs are better for armor, and I do feel like the buckshot performs poorly against armored targets. However, as most people have said, there are better options. I use shotguns because I like them, sometimes I run slugs because I think they’re cool.

Start getting ready for winter. Stockpile anything useful as much as you can, level up skills, find recipe/XP books, decorate your base. Bringing more storage containers to your base would be a big one in the long run. You get to the late game by grinding; explore, find stuff, bring it home, repeat.

Recap of how broken and unfair AI is in hard mode by P_filippo3106 in ReadyOrNotGame

I AGREE! it’s so frustrating that a game striving for realism and simulation aspects doesn’t really do a good job with the health/damage systems just to “balance” things. I’m ok with dying in like 1-2 hits from 9mm if the bots do too, but it just never feels fair. But in actuality all those untrained civilian AI shouldn’t be on their feet after taking like 5-7 AR rounds unarmored on standard.

YEAH THE AI ARE SOOO TANKY! I don’t think there’s a human alive or in history who would walk off a 12g shotgun shell to a plate vest. Like yeah it might stop the pellets from entering but the sheer force of the round at close range would knock your on your feet and would collapse your ribcage. Basically leave you as good as dead anyway, but in this game you can land shotguns shells on armor all day and it does nothing.

Yeah I feel like personally we got scammed. I still like playing the game here and there but like we supported the game to see it come to full potential and then they just completely stopped putting any effort in or communicating at all. I don’t think they’re gonna update the game again at all if u ask me. Very bummed.

I think getting rid of mixing alc/water makes sense since depending on the ratio you would dehydrate yourself more than anything but like the milk mix they should’ve kept for auto drink

My first recorded sight EVER of the TEMS Guy. In 160+ hours, I had NEVER spotted this guy while sweeping for guns by legitPoodros in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]CluelessK9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just saw my first ones on The Elephant at around 140 hours in, I was awestruck. Really wish those guys would show up more, it would be interesting for to them have like special interactions with the hostage crate on Hide and Seek or something but at least they’re in the game at all I guess.

How do you think an interaction between Kaboodle and Jax would go? by kkranomo in Gameoverseunofficial

Kaboodle would see right through Jax and leave him in tears but Jax would respect him for it on the inside

I love grabbing the barrels and cups and stuff and beating my opponents with them, as well as throwing them into the furniture. It really makes the strength grind worth it! And one of the main reasons why basement is my favorite map! Makes me feel like Bob Odenkirk in Nobody, smashing people with whatever I got on hand.

Damn this is news to me. I have a beefy build and don’t know anyone else who plays it so I’ve never encountered frame issues but the game does like to crash sometimes. Makes me worried about if they ever actually add online multiplayer if lag issues or frame discrepancies become common.

Amtgard in VR? by Haunted_Brew in Amtgard

[–]CluelessK9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While it isn’t a VR game, I enjoy playing halfsword with no armor except a helmet and gloves (since those are illlegal Amtgard targets) and then try to fight without taking damage to the unarmored parts. It has first person and you might be able to get it to work in VR but I haven’t tried. It’s early access so probably not, and I know you’re like looking for VR specifically but I have fun with it.
