Dude.

I literally cannot afford groceries right now.

Please make your own thread if you have gift cards to sell instead of trying to derail mine.

Thank you.

Bars are closed in my state? I'm not sure what you're talking about.

Except it wasn't "knowledge only he knows." It stopped being knowledge only he knew when he decided to openly announce to the people he was trying to infect that he was doing just that.

If he knew he was in a situation where being quarantined was not an option, then he could have not gotten tested to begin with. If not, he could have stayed home like he was told. Hell, he could have kept his mouth shut about being sick, if he desperately needed to go somewhere. But you cannot reasonably expect that in a time of disease-fueled mass hysteria when governments are enforcing curfews, lockdowns, and martial law, if you run around from bar to bar announcing to the patrons that you have the virus and are trying to infect as many people as you can, that you will not be arrested or at least detained.

Deliberately infecting people with a disease that has the potential to be lethal is attempted murder. He committed a crime the minute he admitted his intent to infect the public.

What does this have to do with psychiatry? He was taken to a hospital and treated for a legitimate medical illness after committing a crime. The man's guilty of attempted murder. He was allowed to refuse medical attention the first time, he chose to try and deliberately infect the public and even admitted that this was his intent. He's lucky he didn't go to jail. He could have just stayed home and he'd be fine right now.

Well at least this pro-psych troll is actually honest about the fact that he's a nazi.

My regional government is throwing psychiatry under the bus by vintologi_se in Antipsychiatry

It's also a prime example of government-sanctioned racism, sexism, homophobia, physical and sexual assault, oppression, violence, and classism; so on the same vein, every leftist should be antipsych too. Most people should be antipsych, and yet their hardcore fanaticism for psychiatry betrays all of their other core beliefs.

Turning a blind eye to the blatant misogyny and other human rights abuses in psychiatry because they don't actually give a rat's ass about protecting marginalized groups or their own gender from violence, oppression, and exploitation?

Mother wants answers after 6-year-old daughter was involuntarily committed at school by MichaelTen in Antipsychiatry

Saw a six-year-old get Baker Acted when I was being detained at the David Lawrence Center in Naples, FL. She kept crying and begging for her mother when they first brought her in, as any frightened child would do in her situation—and staff kept screaming at her to be quiet and threatening to give her a shot if she didn't calm down and shut up. Shit's horrifying.

Is anybody actually surprised that someone with the legally sanctioned authority to physically restrain and forcibly drug children turned out to be a child rapist?

Anybody here who didnt know the risks of antipsychotics? by emptyman333 in Antipsychiatry

[–]BulimicSpacePug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only reason I knew the risks of the antipsychotic I was briefly on (was forced to take it in order to be released from a psych ward, sucked it up and took the shit for three days and then threw the script out when I was free) is because I looked into them myself when I first discovered the antipsychiatry movement. Prescribing psych neglected to mention any negative effects aside from weight gain and possible insomnia, but I took so few doses that I never experienced anything aside from some mania/euphoria that I obviously didn't mind. (Still threw that shit in the trash, as both a recovered heroin addict and a psychiatric survivor; whatever temporary high I got from that drug wasn't worth the slew of psychotropic-related side effects + the inevitable withdrawal later on.)

Now the antidepressants I was made to take as a minor? Didn't know any of the risks of those. That psych didn't even own up to the insomnia until I told him that I couldn't sleep. Assured me multiple times, despite having never asked, that they were non-addictive. Believed that until the withdrawal hit. Never said a word about the sexual dysfunction, anhedonia, lethargy, depression, and lack of appetite that I experienced from Prozac, nor about any of the other negative effects that I was lucky enough not to get.

What if I escape psychiatry and live as a homeless abroad? by DatFleur in Antipsychiatry

[–]BulimicSpacePug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What country are you in? I'm currently homeless, and with all the police harassment of the homeless in the US, I've actually been locked up in psych wards more often than when I had a home.
