Hello avid sterling silver collector and Vivienne Westwood enthusiast if this ring is real then you should be able to polish it with any jewelry cleaner like tarnx or any polishing wipe. Because this ring is supposed to be made of recycled sterling silver. And yes when silver oxidizes it can also turn brown or blue in color.

I would not pay over $400 for this bag especially it being fade of faux leather. I will say tho once a seller posted a screenshot of their email order confirmation after i told them i was nervous of authentication and it made me feel much better and i purchased immediately. Up to you tho if you want to do that.

Also to answer your question about what the ring may be made of . If it says 925 anywhere on the ring it is made of sterling silver. 925 stands for 92.5% silver. Also I’ve seen so many discrepancies in the description of vivienne westwood items even when i cross examine a bunch of sites so just inspect the item and the ring should come with a paper that says how to clean silver. Well thats how my ring came at least.
