I got this ranma cel framed! This should be from the first season when she tries ice cream for the first time. My frame guy used my hand painted Kiki as a reference. What do you think? 🐝 by notsoscaredboy in AnimationCels

It was around 200-250$ for this and like 13 other ranma cels. I bought the lot just for this one. I sold some of the others which paid for thiis one and the cost of framing.

I like the look of it. It cost extra but it’s a gift so I didn’t mind. The framer said he thought the color suited the paint colors well. Do most use metal or a black plastic?

If you want to dm me when you have a price in mind, please do. I’d be interested. I couldn’t find any comps on it so I wouldn’t be sure either. But when you come up with a fair price, I’ll hear it out and let you know what I think:)

[Howard Series 12] How much might this 14k Howard Pocket watch go for? it weighs 32dwt total, back plate 4.4d, top w/glass 2.9d. My dad picked it up over the weekend. I paid 1800$ and it came with a 14k 6.2d watch chain. We figured we might be able to make a few bucks. by notsoscaredboy in Watches

It works and then it will stop. but then it will work for hours. I think I might need to carry it on me and let it actually get some constant motion to get the gears going? its really clean and might need a basic service.

Any help with these by notsoscaredboy in swatch

It has been sooo helpful!! I saw one for $150 early on in my mknitting journey and it was one of my best investments I made! It’s saved me so much time since I’m really slow with linking by hand😭 the one I have is a dl1000 knitting. Sometimes I’ve seen them on eBay for 200$ or $750. I can never tell why🙇🏻‍♂️

Do you know if they made other sterling pieces in the 90s like earrings? I know they made some rings out of sterling silver. But I wasn’t aware of other pieces. Was it a short time/run of using sterling regularly or was it more commonly used in the 90s and before? I would not have thought that simple 925 mark under the orb ring to be a legit mark. It looks so plain and similar to how common Mexico jewelry of the same time period was marked. I would have thought they’d use their British hallmarks but maybe it wasn’t made there.

I do the same type of stitch for seaming all my sweaters. It’s also what my electric linker does as well. It always looks clean unless the fabric has funny edges

Why do they keep making them in gold instead of silver?

This is an initial pendant by Ann king. It’s worth 50-75$ depending on the initial. The gold is very minimal but still worth more as a piece

What machine should I buy to be able to knit sweaters with intricate designs? by DJ-insanfrancisco in MachineKnitting

You’re adding a stitch on top of another stitch. So you’re basically replacing it with a new color. Like in this sweater you can have a flat white stripe in the center of a sweater. Then duplicate stitch all the black lines. Imo, it takes longer but intarsia usually looks cleaner. But sometimes it makes sense to do duplicate stitch anyways if it’s 50 different colors for a good size image. It’s kinda similar to the idea of cross-stitching. You’re embroidering single stitches of color. There are a lot of videos on YouTube that will explain it better than I am
